"A very nice venue"

"If I could give the Montgomery Community Center negative stars I would! My daughter and 2 other moms booked the Community Center almost 2 months ago for my grandson and his 2 best friends to celebrate their graduation from Lake Creek High School together with their families. Six days before the party, the Community Center called, said they double booked for Sunday and asked if we could move to Saturday. Did I mention they were asking not 1, not 2, but 3 families to contact all their guests and change the date at the last minute?! My daughter and the other 2 moms agreed, even though it meant part of our immediate family would not be able to attend because of work schedules. They told us, to accommodate for agreeing to the change at the last minute, we would have the center from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., but could not decorate until the day of the party. When they got there to set up, there were decorations already up, and the center was completely decorated for another high school graduation. We took down most of their decorations so ours could be put up, taking care not to damage anything and put them out of the way of our guests. During our celebration, 3 women showed up and 1 of them became very angry and causing a scene. It was explained to them that the Community Center horribly screwed up and moved our party to Saturday until 6 pm. Their party, according to the lady (I use the word “lady” loosely) who was causing a scene, was apparently booked from 6 p.m. to midnight for a kid that didn’t even graduate from a Montgomery high school! She became hard to deal with, even though we assured her their decorations would be put back up the same way before we left and to make sure, pictures of the room were taken with how they had it decorated before they were removed. This woman persisted on walking around in the middle of our party taking pictures and making rude comments, but finally left with a threatening tone they would be back for their party tonight. We packed up early, cleaned up and their decorations were hung back up. I just want to say to Montgomery Community Center, thank you for ruining the ONE AND ONLY high school graduation celebration my grandson WILL EVER HAVE!!! YOU SHOULD OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKE AND REFUND THE MONEY BACK TO THE FAMILIES TO MAKE UP FOR SPOILING SUCH A SPECIAL DAY!!!"

"Community movie night - Boss Baby Every so often Old Montgomery puts on a movie that the entire family can watch and enjoy. They had Chick-fil-A cater a full menu [that I saw anyways]. Bring snacks, drinks. Chairs, blankets... Anything to be comfy while watching."

"Good option for large, informal parties. The place is older but they provide tables and chairs as well as functioning kitchen. I believe you get your deposit back, if you clean everything adequately before you leave."

"Nice facility for throwing parties. Holds about 75 people, large room for gatherings, full kitchen and his and her restrooms. Great rental price as well, you can't beat it."
