The Best Steak House

"I went to the steak house about a week ago, I asked one of the workers did they have cheeseburgers on the menu for kids, he stated yes and showed me the price of just the cheeseburgers which was $5.99, so when I get to the cashier, she has a horrible attitude asking what did I order, do I proceeded to give her my orders and I noticed she was ringing the kids meal up as $9.99 and I informed that I was told the price was $5.99, which I do know mistakes happened, instead of her apology she asked who said it etc. I wasn’t trying to get anyone in trouble because when asking for a cheeseburger on the kids meal, he may have thought I said just the sandwich. The cashier jumped in my conversation while talking to my family member about what happens. I informed her that I wasn’t speaking to her but since you want to jump in the conversation, the correct thing was to do is apologize and proceed with order instead of trying to argue. She made a comment at me saying girl you better…. I asked girl you better what and asked for a manager, she stated yep Momma, Momma asked what happened and when I showed her the price that I was giving she stated that only for sandwich, I informed her how nasty of a attitude her daughter had, never apologized, never sent daughter home nor removed her from the cashier. I spent well over $100.00 and always supported the steak house but I will not be back do to this situation. I just can’t believe it happened and by law Mother and Daughter don’t suppose to work together on the same shift do to things like this"

"I always enjoy going to The Best Steak House when I visit St. Louis. It’s a classic steakhouse with a cafeteria-style service. You can pick your steak, sides, and toppings from the counter. The steaks are huge and cooked to perfection. The sides are tasty and filling. The staff is quick and friendly. The prices are fair."

"My mom took our family to dinner frequently when we were growing up. The food is delicious and the staff is very good. Prices have really increased, and the size of my favorite steak burger has decreased! Today's visit 2-8-24 was my first visit for the new year. The staff has changed quite a bit, but my ribeye special was delicious. The steak quality was better and cooked to perfection, medium well. The baked potato was not as hot as I liked it. On a sad note, the prices have skyrocketed. The cost was$12.50 plus taxes, but they charged $1.50 for 4 little pickled beet slices!! Staff was friendly and professional."

"Simple and easy process. I like that you’re able to watch them cook your food and the customer service while not that personable they’re still friendly. The steak burger was juicy and fried okra was nice and fresh. The baked potato was nice and fluffy but they need to get better shrimp. There was too much breading and not enough shrimp. Reminds you of a better school cafeteria"
