"We have been looking at the new construction homes recently and wanted to compare against other builders. A negative right off the bat with D.R. Horton, they do not negotiate on the price at all, they just suggest splitting the buyers agent commission along with your realtor. 2nd negative is you have to get an agent to unlock the homes for you, you can't look without a sales person next to you the whole time which is not as comfortable as looking alone, if you have questions you can always go back to the sales office and ask. 3rd negative is that they only have 1 house that is always a great deal but when you come to see the home, it is sold but guess what they have the same model elsewhere for 10K more, total bait and switch."
