"After being with a ‘big name’ for quite some time, I was continuously frustrated by increasing rates (at no fault of my own) and just receiving the typical answer of “this is where the market is right now” and being forced off the phone and feeling like a number. After doing some additional research on personal insurance agents, and speaking with some friends, I came across Marty (Martin Briones) - Farmer’s, agency, and decided to meet with him. I am genuinely glad I did. I always had this view of insurance agents being gimmicky or like car salesman, but Marty truly surprised me in the best way. He took the time to work with my schedule and location (currently have a teething 6 month old and live very close to Devine), but also took the time to actually LISTEN to my frustrations, understand my questions and concerns, and went through my current policy, step by step, at NO COST. After our meeting, I advised I needed to discuss with my husband, and Marty was 1st class. He didn’t try to pressure me into a sale, nor did he force me to get back to him within a specific time line. He very patiently and graciously understood, and just told me to give him a call if there were any other questions. Almost 2 weeks later (after receiving a Happy St. Patrick’s Day email), I was able to contact Marty and finally switch over my coverage. Marty was still as kind, patient, and gracious with me, even after taking so long to get back with him, not knowing if I would. Marty, thank you SO MUCH for your kindness, patience, and graciousness with my family and me! THANK YOU for also dealing with my millions of questions, and helping me view personal insurance agents differently. You’re truly awesome.
