"Oblate Park is 1 of the oldest parks in the area. It is a simple place, with some picnic tables, a couple of tennis courts, a small playground area. It does not have its own walking track, but is surrounded by sidewalk except for a parking area. It is quiet, off main streets. Not exciting by any means, but it's not meant to be."
"This is Mission's oldest park that's run by the city, not counting La Lomita historical site. A young lady added a prayer labyrinth, with benches, yaupon holly, and gravel trails leading from the two entrances on the outside of the circular maze as her Eagle Scout project. The city added a pergola. Small park, but this adds a spiritual dimension that changes the character of the park. Park has a few benches, old oak and Texas ebony trees, a gated, lit tennis court, and a small play area for younger kids. Cement sidewalk along perimeter. Historical marker facing St. Paul church."
"It's really nice. The tennis courts have good lighting. The neighborhood is peaceful. They've added some nice looking light posts around the perimeter."
"Safe place... Great for families runners and tennis players. Kids area... Only down fall no restrooms or water... all the other parks in Mission have them. Still a great park."
"Nice well lit tennis courts and side walks, but the kids play ground I spooky at night because it has no lights in that area."
