"Do not go to this location!!! They have a promotor by the name of Fortune @ 713DJFORTUNE. He promotes on Eventbrite. Do not buy the ticket HE OUT THERE SCAMMING PEOPLE. on May 28th, 2022. This man promoted a pool party that never happened. The other owners confirmed that he was a foam party, but he was not a stand-up guy to refund me and my people that came from out of town. I disputed the charge, and he produced some documents to say that he rendered services. How do you render services for a pool party that did not exist. Now, suddenly it says postponed on Eventbrite. How is something postponed when you do not communicate that to the customer. Most importantly, when you have documentation, that he stopped answering his phones calls and emails. If he was using his really number because the number do not work. Now, it is no longer about $164.00. It is really about principle at this point!! People work too hard. This guy is on IG flashing money wearing Gucci, and the other brands while he out here scamming... but he is impacting other business brands while he is doing it... Sorry Maya Lagoon!! Fortune messed with the wrong customer!! I am going for the juggler!!! Now I do not even, want the money!! I was nice and kindly asked for my messages and everyone to return my calls. Now, I must go a different path because people think you stupid and you will sit back and let them try you!! I wonder how many people lost money from him on May 28th, 2022."

"I’ve been to Maya a few times for different events they’ve had. This place is beautiful now compared to before new management took over! They added a huge bar and right above it sections where you can hang out and sit. The music was good and the prices weren't crazy like other places around the Houston area. The pool is enormous which helps with distancing yourself if you don’t want to be splashed by others. Definitely recommend for a night with drunk friends and swimming! Oh and I must mention these bathrooms are super clean and new. Like Bucees! Lol. Kept up the great work Management!"

"I threw a foam party at this beautiful location for a lucrative influencer in the city of Houston and let’s just say, a complete scam. From the planning stages, the “part owner” (who ended up just being an errand boy) spoke with me and agreed to terms that we negotiated. Days later after social media promotion, he sends the contract and EVERYTHING changed. They quoted numbers that were 2x higher than club rates which could only be attributed to them seeing the star quality of the event. He also tried to get us to pay $275 for the foam machine HE offered for us to use. Then on the day of the event, a number of things which would be redundant to type were absolutely terrible as well. Poor/ slow service, messy venue, more changes within the contract terms and just an over all work ethic. It took them 4 hours to turn the venue over which bled into our event time. They also let their own patrons in for free when this was a private event. None the less, my years of planning experience helped me pull of a great event for my host and her guests. The event was suppose to end 7pm but the same “part owner” pleased with us to stay an extra 2 hours as sales were rolling in. He agreed to pay: - $150 for the 1st DJs extra hour - $100 for the 2nd DJs extra hour -$100 for the girls swimsuits ($50ea) that they told to come work although we were asked to bring our own staff - a computer printout of our complete bar sales as we were promised 20% of the sales. We have received none. Imagine. Stealing from your clients. AND to add injury to insult, on of the ACTUAL part owners watch me count and break down the door evenly. He then went told told their staff that I had stolen money from the cash box. Imagine. The lack of professionalism and business courtesy is incomprehensible. But long story short, DONT HAVE YOUR EVENT AT THIS LOCATION."

"I like the Maya Lagoon! There's pros and cons. The pros: There aren't many places you can go and swim, listen to music, and have drinks. The cons: The location is very far from the city of Houston (Humble). You have to pay to park, admission, and for drinks (it can get expensive). The beer comes in a can. It's too hot for canned beer. There should be beer on tap and poored in plastic cups or something."
