Maya Lounge

"I decided to try this location after seeing a recommendation on Instagram. I thought the inside was very cute and would be a good vibe. I attempted to book a table by email but did not receive a response. I would assume the best way to book a table would be through the open table app. I did appreciate that there was a security guard at the door, who was very friendly while checking bags and IDs. The lounge is in a shopping strip off Westheimer (a very busy area). When we arrived, unfortunately the inside seats were all taken so we were offered a seat out on the Patio. I feel like if it were a little warmer than it was last night, the patio is still a nice place to relax. The decor is chic and the music is just right. However, at the first table we sat at, we were a little far from the heat lamps and the decorative table lamp was broken. A quick fix when we alerted one of the gentleman on staff, who kindly moved tables and heat lamps around so we could be comfortable. I did notice some frustration on behalf of our server however. I felt like we were inconveniencing her by needing more time to look at the menu while playing musical chairs with our table. And if we needed anything extra I felt like I was embarrassed to ask, which is a little disappointing at a place where a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. As for the food I ordered a Cajun pasta with salmon, which was pretty good for lounge food, as were the southwest egg rolls. The spicy pear Margarita was well made also and all and all we were pretty satisfied. They do offer hookah and you can smoke inside and outside if that’s your thing."

"1.20.24 I celebrated my birthday with a group of friends at Maya’s. We reserved a section for two hours. It was perfect for us as we had plenty of time to catch up, take pictures, and sip drinks. I highly recommend making a reservation at this place as it was super easy to do so we made ours about two weeks in advance. When I realized my party was larger than I had anticipated, Jasmine, Kay, and Destiny were so helpful and accommodating. They made sure everyone was taken care of and we felt like VIPs. The space is cozy yet spacious and tastefully decorated. Even the patio was a vibe and warmer than we expected. The food options were great with something for everyone. We all ordered different dishes and they were all delicious. I personally had the salmon with crispy brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes and it was seasoned to perfection. The only thing that could have been better was the pasta dish the noodles needed to be boiled in chicken broth but it still tasted great with all the Cajun flavors and spice. The music was on point and created a great vibe. The drinks were also amazing and we even had the 2 for 50 hookah which was super smooth. Overall, everything about the night was just perfect and it was definitely a night to remember."

"Maya lounge is definitely a vibe! This place is reasonable for a date night or a group outing. The menu is definitely not a regular lounge menu; they offer lamb chops, salmon, lobster and more! My favorite drink is the Santana, made with Don Julio which is a plus. Recommended for grown and sexy. If i could give 10 starts i definitely would!!!!!"
