"So good! Loved the lo mein, not super greasy or greasy at all. Just the right amount! Also, loved my chicken wings & potstickers. Thanks for the calendar too!"
"Taste much better than I imagined, plenty of nice size shrimp. Just didn't like the small egg rolls"
"So I ordered online chicken wing combo plate with (FRIED) rice while I was sitting on the lot outside. Went inside a little too early because my food wasn't ready which was ok cause I'm thinking nice and hot food, don't mind the wait. Waited about 5 min get my food go to my car on the lot to eat my food, because I'm hiungry, and the rice is not hot. I called inside to ask them how is it not hot and I just ordered it? They tell me the rice is pre-made sitting inside a cooker so no way it is cold. Um excuse me I ORDERED FRIED RICE SO WHY IS IT SITTING INSIDE A COOKER AND NOT BEING FRIED IN A WOK? HE BASICALLY INSINUATED THAT I WAS LYING AND I TAKE OFFENSE TO THAT BECAUSE I HAVE NO REASON TO, NOT EVEN TRYING TO BRING IT BACK INSIDE BECAUSE TIME WOULDN'T PERMIT ME TO, JUST WANTED TO LET THEM KNOW ALSO THE WINGS TASTE AS IF THEY HAD BEEN SITTING, PRE MADE ALSO AND I DONT WANT NO LUKE WARM FOOD! FOR THIS EXPERIEMCE AND THE INSULT, I GIVE A LOW RATING. WON'T BE GOING BACK!!"
"They had the only orange chicken my husband said taste the way it should ND my steak ND peppers was so good!!"
"I was a first-time customer, and I will never return. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and it would be bad so I ordered the easiest thing to make, plain fried rice. Simple, right? Nope! I waited 10 minutes, opened my rice box, and smelled old oil. Right then, I knew it wasn't going to be good, but I tried it anyway. The rice tasted like it smelled, OLD. To top it off, there was old over cooked rice, nearly burned, mixed with what was supposed to be fresh rice. However, none of it was fresh. I even tried to put hot pepper on it to make it better, no luck. Usually, when I have a bad food experience, I don't take the time to even complain. I just throw it away and keep it moving, but this was so bad. I turned the cat around and took it back to them. It was late, and I was tired, as I have been tensing to my father in the hospital down the street and not in the mood to have conflict. So I returned the rice and advised the young lady behind the camera of my experience. I told her I didn't want them to make it again nor my money back, not that I like wasting money but it was a very hard day and I didn'thave the strengthto argue if I requesteda refund and they refused. At this point, I would think she would insist on giving me a refund, and she didn't. Although she was nice, she was obviously inexperienced in customer dissatisfaction. I would not recommend Chinese Express. In my opinion, they are taking advantage of their location, close to Forest Park, down the street from the hospital, across the street from a hotel, etc. A note for every foodie out there, if you walk in a place that serves cooked food and you can see the kitchen on the other side of the counter but can't smell food when you walk in the door, turn around and find somewhere else to go. The food is not fresh."
