"UPDATE: I ordered again and my order was ready for pickup. Glad to see improvement with the pick up times. Thanks Oriental Chop Suey. The food at this place is really good and I appreciate that they offer Vegan options. However, if you plan to order online for pick-up, I suggest ordering at least 15 minutes ahead of time. I ordered my food online for a pick-up at 5pm, but unfortunately, I didn't receive my order until 5:25pm. Interestingly, a lady who ordered when I entered received her food and left before I did. That alone made this a three star review. I'm trying to be understanding, maybe they simply forgot that my order was supposed to be ready at 5. However, I would appreciate if they were honest about why it wasn't ready on time. When people plan ahead and schedule a pickup time, they expect it to be respected. Waiting for almost 30 minutes after the scheduled time is frustrating. Despite all this, I still recommend giving this place a try, but make sure to plan ahead in the future as I plan to do. I will update my review if their timing improves!"
"I had the black pepper chicken and I would say that it is pretty standard. It’s not life changing or anything but also not bad. I can also see what other people are saying about their food being light on the protein. My meal was definitely heavy on the vegetables, but I was ok with the amount of chicken in the dish. I do think other Chinese places around the area do offer more protein in the food though."
"This is me & my husband's favorite chinese restaurant in North County. Food is always so good. My favorite thing to get here is their duck & noodles and hubby loves their soup & fried gizzards. It's also special because we had one of our very 1st dates here 5yrs ago."
"So as of yesterday, I will not throw away my money or eat food I didn't order from this restaurant. As another person posted, this use to be one of my favorite places, but one bad experience takes them out for me. About 8:30 pm i walked inside placed the order, food prepared and I'm out the door. Because I trusted them on the accuracy of my order, I waited to get home and realized the order was wrong, all 3 dishes, immediately call and tried to explain but they weren't having it. I quickly pack the order up and run back up before closing, to show that what I ordered was not what I got, the lady insisted that , teriyaki chicken dish was red as blood, was teriyaki flavored, the Mongolian beef my boyfriend has ordered over 100 times was not salt and pepper beef/steak with onions, and I order my own dish chicken and broccoli with brown sauce, (white sauce of any kind is gross to me) of course this was made with white. I go on to explain to her(with the dish open with the bloody colored teriyaki chicken) that this couldn't be that on the menu, she insisted, I politely explained it should be taken off the menu and take the picture of it off the wall, because it looks nothing like that, I step over past her and emptied it in the trash, and explained I would never eat anything like that. I never asked for a refund, because once you hand over your payment it's not coming back from. any Chinese food restaurant in Stl Never did she say, sorry about the experience or anything just insisted that I was delusion about the order being incorrect."
"They won’t get my money again customer service horrible. I ordered special rice and didn’t get close to what I ordered. You spend $40 to $100 dollars you don’t get a free soda but a person who spend $8.95 do makes no sense. They also a hit and miss on the food. You better off going to the city to get your Chinese food."
