"Worked at UHC for 4 years. It's just another rapacious company that exploits its employees at home and abroad. Opportunities for advancement to higher level positions are encouraged but only given to other white people by a predominantly white leadership structure so don't buy the idea of them promoting from within. The benefits are decent but employees are shamefully underpaid considering the companies revenue increased 13% to $80.3 billion compared to $71.3 billion a year ago. They outsource alot of the work to India and the Philippines exploiting cheap labor. I was conveniently fired from my position a month before having my first child and taking parental leave, this was known by my supervisor. They do not care about the employees that build their wealth or the insureds that keep them in business. All they care about is shareholder profits and maintaining their white power structure. "This company was not what I thought it was going to be! Low Pay, constant stress, too strict, micro managing, too many job roles for low pay, horrible training, trainers are condescending and fake! I can go on and on. Trainers need to be more helpful and understanding and in this training class several of us felt scared to ask questions because of the attitude or “push back “ as they call it ! We aren’t children! Thirty minute lunches and two 15 minute breaks and it’s mind , health, body and soul draining ! No praise for good work and dedication instead the trainers are focuses on the negative the total opposite of what the company stands for ! It wasn’t worth my health and happiness!"

"I have called in numerous occasions for the same problem and has never been resolved. The people that work (answer the phone) is not very helpful."

"In case anyone was curious to know if you have a history of depression or anxiety within the past 5 years UnitedHealthcare will not cover you. That is crazy to know because mental illness is very severe, it is the MOST ignored illness in America today. However UnitedHealthcare is in the business of making money not spending it. This health insurance company does not care about your health or your person. With that said if they feel that you have to actually use their health insurance, they will refuse to cover. The policies surrounding this company are very sickening!"
