"Ker & Downey did an excellent job with our South Africa itinerary. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations and tours booked for us at Cape Town and Sabi Sands. We stayed at the One and Only in Cape Town and the Dulini Lodge on safari. In addition, we made a stop in Zambia and stayed at the Thorntree River Lodge. In all cases, the servcies we received were beyond reproach and the people were a joy to be around. Every detail of the trip was carefully arranged and each place we stayed wowed us with it's beauty and attention to detail. This was truly one of the best vacations I have ever experienced. "My daughter and I had the good fortune of taking a 2-week trip to Egypt booked through Ker & Downey October 2021. We had the most extraordinary experience, in large part due to the superb service we received from our Ker & Downey designer prior to our departure, and from their ground operator, South Sinai Travel, once we arrived. Upon arrival at the Cairo Airport, we were immediately met and escorted to a private lounge while they handled our entry documentation and gathered our luggage. Their professionalism and efficiency were superb. We continued to be assisted at various points throughout our trip, regardless of the time of day, and every person assigned to us was always polite, professional, efficient, organized and communicated well with us. We were introduced to our private Guide/Egyptologist the morning after our arrival. He traveled with us the duration of our visit and was indispensable. Not only, did he share his vast knowledge of each historical site visited; he shared his good humor, his personal viewpoints and seemed interested in hearing our views. He is an exemplary representative for Egypt and conveys the pride he has for his homeland with absolute joy. I will add that we felt safe throughout our trip largely due to the consistency of having our private guide with us throughout the trip. In addition, our primary driver was also excellent. He always had the car ready for us…clean, well stocked with masks, sanitizer and bottled water. He presented himself well, neatly dressed, somewhat on the quiet side, with a great smile. He was a careful driver and we always felt he was in control of his vehicle despite the mayhem on the streets. All our drivers were pleasant and excellent. The Sanctuary Sunboat IV Nile cruise was outstanding. The accommodations, dining and the crew were top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It was a beautiful trip traveling along the Nile and allowed one to relax while contemplating the significance Egypt has in the world. We have traveled extensively and understand the operational intricacies involved. My last trip to Egypt was in 1961, with my family when I was a young girl. This return trip was extremely meaningful, especially to be traveling with my daughter. Ker & Downey handled everything perfectly. Everything was arranged as planned and reconfirmed ahead of time. From our hotel check-ins, luggage transfers, excursions, Covid tests, flights, etc. we never had a concern. The documentation we received prior to departure was excellent providing detailed information for each day including a tipping guideline and emergency phone numbers.
