"Dr. Ryan is very kind, patient and skilled. He’s very informative and makes an effort to keep me comfortable throughout the procedure. He is very thorough with his evaluations, his blocking techniques are thorough and my visits are always pain-free. His procedure assistant Janet is always efficient and helpful. The receptionist and hygienist are both absolutely wonderful (I’m so sorry I’m bad with names) and make every visit pleasant, efficient, and timely. I used to have a great deal of dental anxiety, and it has been almost entirely eliminated thanks to this collection of wonderful people. Highly recommend!"
"I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist nearby. Noticed from the reviews the practice was recently bought out and the owner is retiring. I saw Dr. Ryan Woitas was told I needed a crown which sounded odd to me since I have not had any issues in the past. I decided to go back to my old dentist in Chicago for a second opinion. They assured me I don’t need a crown and just need a new filing. It seems this dentist is trying to make money off their patients by recommending unnecessary dental work. Be aware and get a second opinion. It seems from the other reviews it has happened to other patients. I would not trust them."
"Friendly, prompt, will miss Dr. Nugent when he retires. He was an amazing dentist, gentle and very good care. They now offer a plan that saves on fees for those who have no dental insurance."
"I have been a loyal Grove Dental patient for 10 years. Grove/NIDG (parent company) is no longer the friendly place it used to be. My last procedure had several problems. I asked the office Manager Sheri Worfel Grove Dental Associates / Wheaton Town Square if I could get a small refund or compensation for my troubles. Since the staff misplaced my dentures causing me to have to come back a week later with severe pain and discomfort. Sheri gave me the run around and then said her boss will get back to me. Jennifer Garibaldi Senior Regional Director Of Operations North American Dental Group. Jennifer called and when I asked for a partial refund or any type of compensation she just gave a big NO! She threatened me saying she was going to notify her legal team. Do not deal with Grove/NADG in unless you want to deal with a company in my opinion they cares more about profit than a customers satisfaction."
"This is one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write. I have been a patient of Dr. Nugent for 20 years. He recently sold this business and is retiring at the end of February. I wish him the best. The practice itself has unfortunately fallen victim to a new business that aggressively pushes both medical and cosmetic procedures. Each time I go in for a cleaning I am given the hard sell from start to finish for a number of things that were never an issue before and don't bother me. Additionally, the practice now routinely conducts services without asking (they had to use their new x-ray machine on me but violated my insurance company's policy on the procedure since it was done too recently as 1 example). Also, I did get a second opinion for a new crown that they are pushing on me. The second dentist I saw said there is absolutely no need for the procedure. Finally, the new staff are unfriendly and rude. I had a recent experience trying to understand why I had yet another unexpected charge from the practice and all I got was a VERY RUDE receptionist who was argumentative and unhelpful. If you want to avoid a bad experience and unecessary costs then find a different dentist. Anyone is better than DG Dental and Orthodontics at this point. It's such a shame as it used to be the best practice in town."
