"Just stopped in for a browse with my sister-in-law looking for some kids shoes. Didn't see anything we wanted and were ready to move on ....Asked a sales associate (who had been pretty aggressive about "helping") for a parking token to exit their lot. No dice! She held us hostage, antagonized me for not "looking long enough." I was told I could only exit the parking lot if I sat down with a sales associate and made a sincere effort to look for shoes, and "not just wandering around for a minute." It was absolutely insane. Lady, that's how people shop for shoes. They just LOOK. She pestered and bullied me to tell her what shoes I actually needed, as if I was on the stand in court. Eventually somebody stepped in and gave me a token so we could LEAVE. Alamo has lost me and my sister in law as customers. They need to reevaluate their sales tactics. Sometimes people just want to take a quick look around, but that does not mean they are not engaged. If a parking lot gets people in the door, looking around, to me that is a win. I have spent significant money at this store in the past (three pairs of boots and several Christmas gifts like socks), and recommended it to friends, despite the fact their selection is frankly VERY dated and borderline ugly. At the time, we had a hungry kid with us and we simply could not stay long, performing in her shoe shopping production off Broadway. I also feel that I was picked on because I look young, but I am a 40-year-old mom of two and I was not having it. This woman is clearly some ancient matriarch they can't get off the sales floor, and has a bee in her bonnet about this parking lot. She watched us leave with a smug smile on her face, clearly pleased she had upset me. Gross."

"Super fast shipping! Item arrived quickly! I had ordered some shoes for my daughter directly from the manufacturer back in September as these shoes have been very hard to find. Unfortunately, the size she told me to get did not fit her and she was very disappointed so I looked on Christmas Day and Alamo was the ONLY place that had her size and the price was not jacked up. I ordered them on Christmas Day and received them on the 28th. Thank you!!!"

"came in looking for shoes for a buddy’s wedding and dan hooked me up. he helped me with examples based off what i was wearing, and gave me honesty about what would be best for the occasion. he gave great advice and for it alone i would come back to shop here. there is a wide shoe selection, with very competitive pricing. plus there is free parking if you plan on buying something! this place is great and i’ll be back for my next pair of shoes."

You can visit other stores, but this is the real deal And the store mascot is adorable!"
