"NO STARS! Worst customer experience! Their dental claims and policies are the worst. Every representative I have talked to says they will “follow up” with me and never do. I have to continue calling to get answers since they fail to do anything!"
"This review is regarding their dental insurance. My wife and I used two dental offices during our six months with Humana. Both offices are respected offices in San Antonio, and neither could get Humana to pay for hardly anything. It would appear that Humana would pay, and then Humana would deny everything. Excuses ranged from us being in a pending period as new customers, to the procedures only covering children under the age of 19. Both dental offices said in their opinion Humana engages in very shady practices, and that they had never experienced anything like this before with a dental insurance company. I tried to cancel with Humana. I could not log into my account or change my password because their website could not find me as a customer. I ended spending a full afternoon on the phone with a total of 5 representatives in order to get my account canceled. Or at least I hope it was canceled - I could not get a confirmation number from the representative, nor could I get a record of the call. Nothing. I was just told I would have to wait, that I would get a letter within 30 days regarding the cancelation. Furthermore, of the reps that could find my account (3 out of 5), two said that my wife and I should have full coverage, that we should not have been denied for the procedures we had, but that they could do nothing about it. The third, who was the only one who had the ability to cancel our account, he dodged the question entirely, saying it was up to us to investigate the policy thoroughly when we signed up. This company is a perfect example of the twisted loophole fraud that too many companies here are getting away with. They are thieves, and they do not care about you."
