"Was great when I could actually get in here and y'all would answer your phones. Get call waiting, there's no reason why I should have to call 5 times just to get someone on the phone. Almost none of my voicemails have ever been returned! Absolutely no chance for flexability with patients lives. I had a late scheduling issue come up for an appointment in a couple days and the soonest you could get me in is FOUR months out! Just completely unacceptable, so much has changed with this office since 2020."
"This Dental office surely has changed, on the Adult side, after covid. I have been a long-time patient, over 10 years, but I am now searching for a new dental office. I recently had a wisdom tooth extraction but was never told the wisdom tooth was holding the next tooth in place that had already begun to drop prior to the extraction (I had no idea) but without the wisdom tooth the next tooth would surely "fall." The best process for me would have been to extract both at the same time. I do keep my regular appts so this should have been identified much SOONER. I SHOULD have had the option regarding next steps but instead my wisdom tooth was extracted and now I'm told I have to pay to get the other out...when it could have been completed all in one appt. Then to make matters worse, I scheduled the 2nd extraction to be after my vacation and the person who booked my appt told me I should make the extraction sooner because what if it "explodes" while on vacation... I said "what do you mean by explodes!" Just ridiculous all-round...not a good way to make extra money off pts nor speak to them. So unprofessional!"
"Dr. Lavacca is wonderful and appears to be knowledgeable and a top of the line Prosthodontist. Elaine was awesome, along with my technician. My technician was pleasant. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. All were great. I am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you to everyone at Naperville Dental Specialists."
"If you're a new prospective client, I'll save you the trouble and tell you to avoid this place. I've waited 5 months for an appointment and now they're asking me to wait 5 more, but I'm cutting my losses here and looking elsewhere. What an absolute waste of time this office. Called as a new client (Apr/May 2023) and was told to wait five months for a regular check up appointment because they're that booked up. Ok no problem I understand. Wait 5 months, and the day of my appointment (Sept 2023) I get a smarmy email and text saying my cleaning appointment was canceled. I called to see what was up and they told me "staffing issue". I asked when the next available appointment was and they told me five more months from now (Feb 2024). I then asked if canceled appointments were a common thing in their practice, because I was new and hadn't even been into their office, and the person on the phone basically shrugged, saying it happens, but there seemed to be no back up plan for these situations so clients like me just waste time. And then I was told not once but twice that I was free to go choose a new practice if I wanted. To the office if you actually read these things: people calling out sick happens, absolutely I understand. But how can you not have back up on call staff for any day-of call-offs in situations like this? How is your best plan to just rebook clients like normal and make them wait another half year? How could you not have any other plan??? Your chairs and offices may be full 24/7 and cheers to that, but some clients like myself take sacrifices to try to come see you guys. For me I missed a day of work and I wasted 5 months of waiting for nothing. I guess I'll take the advice I was solicited by your staff, twice in our conversation, to look elsewhere for dental care. Just disappointing."
