"I’m a cancer patient and after getting treated like I had the plague at a dentist here in Antioch I was lucky enough to find this place. From the office staff, to the dental assistant, to the dentist I can’t say enough good about this practice. Caring, compassionate, calming. They got me in right away and showed great concern about my issues. This is absolutely my new dentist. It is well worth the 20 minute drive and I recommend them wholeheartedly."
"I have always had anxiety about dentists. I can't say enough about how they put you at ease. Definitely a great experience."
"After many months of debating if I wanted to leave a review or not, it’s time I did. I will say first off that the office staff was so incredibly friendly! Absolutely loved them. Unfortunately the treatment plan was beyond aggressive while the work done was so conservative that it took many hours to complete simple and pretty straight forward work. In the end I ended up leaving in tears and pretty traumatized, first time that’s ever happened to me. I returned to McHenry Smile Center even though they weren’t in network for my insurance. Dr. Sturt finished the work for me. Him and his staff also helped me emotionally get through the process. Dental Care at Lakemoor Commons did try to make things better and even said the dentist was no longer there. Although they asked me to come back, I can never trust the practice. I wish them the best and hope they continue giving better treatment to the rest of their patients."
"My old, trusted dentist was no longer in my insurance network, so I decided to try Dental Care at Lakemoor Commons, who are in my network. BIG mistake. They lure you in with a nice, modern, professional office, but any positives end there. On my first visit, I spent probably close to two hours getting x-ray after x-ray after x-ray, followed by 3D scans, and a quick cleaning. I was informed that I needed two crowns immediately, or else my teeth would crack open within a matter of months, if not weeks. After being told the cost, I told them there was no possible way I could afford both, and that I could only do one. Suddenly, only one of them was immediately necessary, and the other one (which, just minutes before, was desperately urgent) could easily wait a half a year or more. That right there should have been a major warning sign, but stupidly I ignored it, paid my bill in full, and made the appointment to have this done. So I went in again, and they did another 3D scan of my teeth and gave me a temporary crown, but not before informing me that they were going to also fill a cavity which they had never even mentioned before. After that, I paid in full (again) and made a follow-up appointment to get the permanent crown. On the third appointment, I was informed that the doctor who had done the work in my first two visits was no longer part of the organization, and that I would have a new one. This new dentist walked in and immediately, without so much as glancing in or even at my mouth, announced that I would need several more crowns that, like the above-mentioned cavity, nobody had ever, at any point, mentioned before this, but would cost me thousands of more dollars, all told. At that point I had enough and said no, not now. They gave me my permanent crown and I once again paid in full and left. Again, I paid completely in full after every visit, and their people confirmed that I had paid in full after every visit, but since I turned them down for these imaginary new crowns that the new doctor decided I needed before even examining me, they have started sending me bills for even more money. The worst part? Out of curiosity, I contacted the office of my former dentist, and was informed that they would have charged me SIGNIFICANTLY less than Dental Care at Lakemoor Commons, even though that dentist isn’t even in my insurance network. And considering their constant flip-flopping on what I needed, I’m truly wondering if I even needed the crown that they did put in. TL;DR version: Dental Care at Lakemoor Commons are lying, cheating con artists who will try to pressure you into completely unnecessary, incredibly expensive dental work, and if you don’t fall for their lies, they’ll just invent new charges to try to scam every last possible penny out of you."
"Just left my first visit and I cannot say enough about this Dental Office. The facility is clean, professional and has amazing equipment. The receptionist Jamie was sweet, warm and knew what she was doing … overall amazing. Not only did she get me checked in efficiently but she went the extra mile to assist me in getting my insurance approved. The hygienist was thorough, extremely knowledgeable, personable and kind. I absolutely hate going to the dentist and I’m actually looking forward to my next visit! If I could give more stars I would ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️"
