"The gentleman at the desk was only interested in giving information for the boutiques. My friend and I were only interested in historical places. We found the Jail..a Cabin in walking distance from the jail..the Train Depot, all with ladies who gave so much information on the history of each site..and the beautiful burial site Davy Crockett had erected for his beloved wife. And..we walked the Square around the historical Courthouse, filled with little shops of assorted interests. Granbury is a nice little town to spend a day in. Would have liked to have had dinner in one of the restaurants overlooking the water but temps over 100 took away the desire."
"We visited on a Sunday and the staff was very helpful. We are moving to the area and the straff gave us all kinds of info that we really needed for reference including of information on Granbury and other Texas destinations (several large display with pamphlets galore). Also a public restroom and an icy-cold drinking fountain. Just steps from the square! We were able to sit and cool off while we talked which was wonderful."
"Waited almost an hour for the trolley at one of the "supposed" stops on the website. The tracking for the trolley showed an ETA of 308pm and at 4pm the ETA was 424pm so we gave up. Showed to just be stuck at different stops around downtown. According to the holiday schedule it showed to be operating from 10am to 6pm."
"We travel all around the country and this was one of the best visitor centers around. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Plus they had chocolate chip cookies to keep your blood sugar up while enjoying the town."
"Sleepy hollow was a great performance. The actors were so talented but there is room for much improvement. First of all the school building was so hot. Fans could be placed high in the corners. Second, show was a bit too long. Children got tired and bored. Perhaps cutting it back by a few songs. Third, audience should get more involved. Perhaps, giving them a tambourine to play as well. They can be found at a dollar store (and collected at some point by passing around baskets). Make it to where one audience member keeps there’s (planned of course) & it can be comical, trying to find where sound is coming from as the member continues to play once it’s silent & all the tambourines have been collected. Audience can also be forced to sing some of the parts. Again, for comical purposes, have someone sing out of turn for fun. There’s a lot of possibilities to make it more humorous and active among audience."
