"the older clerks here are just plain unhappy and unapproachable, they just put out such an unhappy vibe and are always putting out a behavior of annoyance or irritated behavior…. they never smile, always have such a shrewd, stern and bitter look, never ever have i gotten a happy greeting from the clerks here… gosh, are they that unhappy? a few times i’ve gotten stares as if i’m going to steal something, i’ve wondered is it because of my race or how i’m dressed in my work out outfit? it’s happened more than twice so this isn’t just a one time event. if i can give no star for customer service i would. i fear going to this store but have no other options since STL has no other jcrew nearby. the other reviews regarding their clerks and customer service are right, and it’s VERY true! it is better to order online and avoid having your day ruined by these clerks, shopping is supposed to be fun and bring happiness but these clerks surely take that spirit away."

"I've always had good experiences at this J. Crew, particularly for a store that is not huge. Staff are present but not overbearing, and they are generally knowledgeable about the product line. Good selection for a store its size, and there are usually some good deals to be had in the discounted section in the rear of the store."

"Fantastic selection for a non-flagship JCrew location. Men’s section was well kept and seasonal transition was already occurring. Associates were helpful and not overbearing. It’s an older store that I’ve seen get somewhat messy but not during my recent visits. I will always enjoy the JCrew brand!"
