"They were quick to take care of my needs"
"Ron in pharmacy was an absolute Angel. After a 12 hr shift, a visit to the urgent care and trip to the pharmacy, his kindness and patience with me was something I just really needed at the end of a long day. And even though they were at the end of their shift too he was still very patient in helping me find the best price for the meds my daughter needed. Miss Diamond and the Dr on Staff were also very kind and I cannot thank the entire staff enough on how they just made my evening a lil more bearable with their how they treated me and even with a smile on their faces. You’ll never know just how much you made a difference in my day. Thank you."
"PSA to those who are uninsured: If I could post a 0, I would. First, my ADHD medication wasn't in stock at my regular pharmacy (HEB on Kitty Hawk, they are FANTASTIC) so I decided to try Walgreens. My doctor has sloppy hand writing, like most doctors. My prescription was filled out correctly, except that the year looked a little hard to make out the first digit - it looked like 02, not 22... so I was denied. Even though clearly he meant 22. But ok, I get it, rules are rules and I'm glad they take scheduled substances seriously. So I drive back to my doctor, who writes a new, more legible prescription. I go all the back to Walgreens, they accept the script, but I realized later that they did not quote me on how much it would cost. I wait two or three hours and return to pick up my prescription. I don't have insurance, like many Americans, and I asked specifically for the generic brand. $503... That's what they were going to charge me. I told her there must be a mistake and that I'm uninsured. I pay ~$50 when I fill at HEB, literally 10x less than they were charging me. The woman just kinda shrugged and said "do you want it or not??" I asked her to return my script, I went and filled at my usually pharmacy and decided to just go a few days without my prescription. I picked it up today and paid $48... Avoid this pharmacy at all costs if you're uninsured. There's about seven other, better alternatives in the same area."
