"When he was little, the pediatrician told us my son had a bit of a tongue-tie. He had already started talking, was eating fine and was generally very healthy, so we didn't do anything about it. As he grew, he started having breathing problems when doing sports. He also starting having TMJ-like issues with his jaw clicking. We talked to Dr. Hauk, who recommended a frenectomy to fix the tongue-tie. She did the procedure right away. It was a very simple, quick, and relatively painless, procedure. Within two weeks, he already noticed a distinct difference in his ability to breathe and his neck and jaw have relaxed immensely.
