Reviews of Flight Deck Pub
"The food was delicious!! The pretzels was tasty with both dipping sauces then We had the slider flight and would definitely recommend it. Their pork and hamburger were the best of the 3 but chicken had a lot of flavor also. We would probably order all pork next time it was so delicious!! Also fries were well seasoned. Then the gooey butter cake melted in your mouth! Will definitely go back when in St. Louis"
"Got there just in time for a 80's music bingo. Pretty fun. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was great."
"We stopped in for Happy Hour last Thursday. They offer 2 for 1 well drinks, beer and wine which is a great deal. If you sign up for their loyalty program you will also receive a free appetizer! Speaking of appetizers, the potato nachos were amazing! Big, pillowy potato fries treated like a deconstructed potato skin with their signature beer cheese! Outstanding! We opted to share a slider flight and loved the trio of pulled pork, fried chicken and hamburger. Fun atmosphere, great service from Ellen, and good food. We will be back soon!"
"Very unique and interesting concept. It's aviation themed, so they mostly offer flights and regionally inspired items. There are drink flights and a variety of food in flight form. I ordered the mule flight, which was a regular vodka mule, tequila mule, and bourbon mule. All three are excellent. They also have an old fashioned flight, a wine flight, beer flights and more. The beer flight is three of their 4 draft selections. Not really diverse, but everything else sounds great. For starters, we ordered the wing flight, Mac n cheese flight, and devilled egg flight. Also available are french fry and slider flights. The Mac cheese is buttery with highlights of savory cheese. Very delicious. The flight offers fried Mac n cheese, regular Mac, and buffalo Mac n cheese. The fried is delicious with great texture. The buffalo is just their regular Mac with a drizzle of buffalo sauce. I'd have wanted a little more something to differentiate it, but the regular Mac is so good it's nice to just get more of it. The wing flight was good, but I've certainly had better wings. They did have a decent size and we're juicy. They offer three flavors, buffalo, BBQ, and honey garlic. The honey garlic is different and fresh, and was quite tasty. The buffalo and BBQ were pretty standard, but still good. I'd like to see more variety and interesting flavors here. The highlight of the starters is by far the deviled eggs. These were simply phenomenal. The flavors are traditional, BBQ, and buffalo. The traditional deviled egg doesn't have any sweetness like pickles, and is very creamy and savory. Some people are particular about their eggs, so I wanted to specify. The BBQ adds pulled pork and barbecue sauce. Definitely elevates the dish to something special. My favorite was the buffalo. It had buffalo sauce and ranch. I will crave these in my sleep. For a main, we split the STL BBQ connection. This includes BBQ pork steak, toasted ravioli, smoked sausage, and gooey butter cake. We also ordered a side of biscuits. The toasted ravioli were some of the best I've had. They have a great flavor and were the perfect not too chewy not too crispy texture. The smoked sausage was incredibly juicy and delicious. The pork steak was ... Not bad. Look, the bar is set very high for pork steak in St Louis. I found the BBQ sauce to be a bit not what I want on a pork steak. It's spice forward with something like paprika or cumin. The steak itself was tender enough, but not incredibly so like the best pork steaks are. The steak is very thin, but it comes with a variety of other food, so the portion is fine. The biscuits sounded good. However, we got 2 biscuits for $4. Small ones. And, they're nothing special. It's just bread really. Finally, we ended the meal with the gooey butter cake. The only food more storied than pork steaks in STL. The competition is fierce. This gooey butter lives up to anything you can find in St Louis. It might be my favorite. Yes seriously. I don't know if it's brought in or made in house, but this is what you want when you think gooey butter cake."
"Surprising good considering this is a restaurant in a hotel. The salad was huge, the pretzel gigantic, and the jalapeno mac & cheese was so tasty and satisfying. I love the aviation theme inside the restaurant and the hotel."
