Reviews of Kelleher's Irish Pub & Eatery
"Do not care for the parking situation. You must park across the street then hike over and around to the only accessible break in a fenced barrier across pavement, brick and rail road rails, then you can finally address crossing the street. Once inside I was met by a very nice matradee who asked if I had a reservation. No I said, just a seat at the bar. She told me to go right in. I did, grabbed a seat and waited a short time to order what turned out to be a very tasty wheat beer. 2/3rds of way through my second beer I was contemplating having another when I was swarmed on both sides by adult Bradley University persons. Being squeezed and boxed in, very rude, I left. Service was good, my beer glass was clean and nicely chilled. Then there's the hike back to my vehicle."
"We had a great dinner here last week! My aunt and uncle brought us here. There was a bit of a wait which seemed crazy for a Monday night but we survived. lol Our food was amazing. I was disappointed that there was only one Irish cider on tap but at least it’s Magners. The place was packed and really loud but we had a pleasant dinner would definitely go back again when we are in town next."
"We’ve enjoyed Kelleher’s for many decades. Whether it’s a couple’s night out, family gathering, our business meet up the atmosphere is great. Irish Pub fare is always on the mark. The Guinness and Harp drafts are always cold."
"Coming from out of town we were excited to try a local venue. We loved the idea we could sit outside with our dog and have lunch. I only wish we could have gotten the young lady who came over and spoke to us about our pup and the street block party that night as our server. Instead we received a complete opposite. Rachel our server was not friendly barely looked us in the eye. She came back 3 times to ask us what our order was but barely giving us time to review the menu. She rushed us the entire time. Mind you no one was sitting outside and hardly anyone was inside. My husband and I both ordered beers. Hard to mess that up. Nice and refreshing on a warm muggy day. We ordered an appetizer crab balls almost like, but hardly and crab and tasted of the oil they were cooked in. Bummer, was looking forward to those. Then I ordered bangers and mash. It’s and Irish pub and I wanted something not a burger. It had no flavor. I was shocked. It presented well and looked pretty, but no flavor. Gave me incentive to go home and perfect this dish because I was so disappointed. My husband ordered the Irish trio. Interesting. I have never seen Chicken pot pie come out as soup and look like it just came out of a can. Again no flavor. I am beginning to think the chef forgot spices. The shepherds pie looked more of a normal dish but again no flavor. Blah on everything, except the soda bread. The bread deserves praise, maybe they don’t make it in house. The kicker was when we got the bill. I ordered a piece of chicken breast with nothing on it, no sides just a piece of chicken that I could cut up for my pup. Who enjoyed the chicken. $16. All it was was one chicken breast- nothing else on the plate and it cost more than my meal and my husband’s meal. Honestly I should have said something but our waitress who seemed to have woke up on the wrong side of the bed, was not friendly so I just paid it and we left. I would maybe try the place again for beers and music, but not food or that services."
"We stopped by between 6 and 7 on a Friday night and thought for sure there would be a long wait. To our amazement, we were seated quickly even though it was really busy. The staff was friendly and helpful, all while keeping up with a pretty frantic pace. We started out with the Irish chips, which were delicious. One of us had the Guiness beef sandwich and the other had the turkey, bacon, avocado club. Both sandwiches were really good. Fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations. On top of great food, the atmosphere is really comfortable and the building is gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit. We would certainly visit again if we are in the area."
