"Went there for an ear cleaning and the entire staff was kind, courteous, and professional. Dr. Slater performed the ear cleaning for me and talked me through the whole thing. The procedure eliminated some severe discomfort in my ears and was quick and painless. Cannot recommend this place highly enough."
"This clinic is used by Mercy Hospital and performed my newborns hearing test. They come into the room and hand this form to new mothers that have had minimal sleep and are still adjusting to their newborn baby and ask you to initial it. In black and white, it says that they are OON with most insurance, eill not even attempt to file a claim, will bill you $165, and it's up to YOU to try and get a reimbursement from your insurance. You can't ask the technician anything about the billing, but sign the form and move on if you want the test. It's wrong. What parent would pass on a hearing exam for their newborn? Not a reasonable one. Of course they want to know if everything is ok with their baby. Do better, Ears and Hearing PA."
"Dr. Slater was really good at cleaning out the stubborn wax in my ears. Before the procedure started he put some numbing medication into the ear and waited a few minutes. It's a pain free medication. This significantly helped reduce the amount of pain involved. It was a smooth process that was well worth it as i can hear much better now than i could a month ago. I would highly recommend Austin Ear Clinic to anyone who is new to the Austin area or is in need of an ENT"
"Halfway through the paperwork it is disclosed that the doctor is not currently working with ANY insurance network - the front desk told me it was because his coverage lapsed while he was out of the office for a year and he’s working to get back into networks. Therefore, any services are paid for up front and out of pocket, including a $400 fee just to see the doctor, anything else is an additional fee. They offered to help me with pricing if I just needed an ear cleaning, but since I didn’t know if I needed more help than that, they couldn’t guarantee a cost for me. I declined to see the doctor today. It would be helpful if it is plainly and clearly stated from the beginning that there is an insurance issue so people don’t waste their time. Will reconsider once he’s covered."
""There's nothing they can do that I can't fix". Nothing gave me more confidence in the doctor after he said this. I went to CVS for ear wax cleaning, but they messed up my other ear also. I was not able to hear anything for 2 days. The doctor here cleaned everything using vacuums and I can hear everything so well! Experienced doctor, professional service. Highly recommended."
