Women’s Hospital of Texas 7900 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77054

"Medical billing quoted us $380 for an ultrasound in the fall of 2022. We paid the amount and had the testing done. Approximately 11 months later, Women’s Hospital contacted us stating we owed an additonal $3100. Apparently our Cigna health insurance is not in contract with Women’s Hospital. The hospital is now threatening to take us to collections. We have exhausted every angle to try and negotiate the billing error by the hospital to help us financially with this bill. The hospital is threatening to take us to collections. Outside of hiring an attorney I am not sure what other steps we can take. Likely we will have to pay the bill or lose our credit rating. This hospital has disrespected us and lost our trust. Their misquote of the service is certainly a significant mistake, but their refusal to help us afterwards has forever lost our trust as a patient. We will never return to this hospital as a patient nor recommend it to anyone we know."

"Joyce K. is a nurse in the mother baby unit. She washed my baby, who was delivered less than 14 hours, with hot water only. My family and I trusted her, however, she hurt all of us deeply…My baby was hurt both physiologically and psychologically. Every time I think about the bath experience, my heart breaks… I failed to protect the little new born and how could I trust Joyce K?"

"Avoid this hospital at ALL costs. Their nurses gave an inaccurate read when I was in labor, which extended my labor an entire FULL DAY. Not to mention one of the nurses stole my shoes while giving birth. I followed up with the hospital staff about this numerous times and they pretty much stated “there’s nothing we can do about it.” Unfortunate because there were some fantastic L&D nurses we got to work with and they were a saving grace during this experience. Mind you, I keep getting random bills out of the blue, but the hospital refuses to give me a statement of the breakdown of the bill. If you can avoid this hospital, I would recommend it."

"I recently gave birth here and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff and medical team, especially the nurses! Everyone was extremely attentive, caring, and always advocated for me and my family! Also, if you can swing it, I highly recommend upgrading to a suite!"

"Wife just delivered here 2 weeks ago, overall Fantastic team from nurses to meal servers! Our nurse during delivery was Karen Baldwin, she’s very experience and patient throughout the labor, even our Doula was impressed by her! The nurses post delivery were very friendly and highly efficient as well, at no point that we felt like we were troubling them Food - have to say this hospital had some Really Good food! Canteen options were great and prices were reasonable. Meals they served to patient was Delicious! Highly recommend their Chicken Fried Steak, wife still misses it and better than most we had at outside restaurants! It’s fried but not greasy at all! Only complaint - parking is expensive and there’s no in/out privileges Overall - 5 star for overall experience and hospital team!"
