"At the time of purchase everyone was nice, however: Return is a nightmare: 1. You can return only to one location (I live 40 min away driving) 2. Return period on all items is 30 days 3. People at checkout are not welcoming returns. 4. Some items are overpriced. 5. You can not return an open package so if you buy something and if sealed you are stuck with it forever. I will drive 10 min longer and buy at Home Depot next time."

"Beware. This store sells items in packaging that, while designed to appease VP's of loss prevention, effectively make Ace Hardware the thieves, as in your money. I have had these guys steal my money twice by having packaging requiring it's destruction to get at an item to test its suitability. Once I chose the wrong product, the next (and last) time I bought something based on their recommendation and both times Ace refused to stand behind their products and accept a return. I can understand my mistake, but not theirs. In order to steal over fifty bucks from me, Ace has chosen to forego ALL my future purchases. Caveat Emptor. Never again."
