"Save yourself the trouble and go to Goodwill in San Marcos. I called about dropping off a TV console showed up with it, and was told they wouldn’t take it after all. All fine except that the gentleman who helped me was exceptionally rude. I will never donate here again nor will I shop here."
"Super Fun thrift shop. Everything from clothes, to knickknacks to books. They get new items daily and often items are super high quality. I found a lovely little Waterford crystal clock the other day for $3. The staff is always friendly."
"Edit - Yes, utilities are high, but don't complain when your antique furniture is falling apart. Or! Simply don't accept what you can't handle. This is definitely one of those places to frequent. If I had the means to get it home, I would have bought something out of want and not need. I was though, highly disappointed in the conversation I overheard about why their furniture was....."changing." They apparently didn't know that turning the AC off when they left at the end of the day damages wood, leather, and textiles and are thus causing irreversible damage to the antiques. The one piece I wanted to buy was to simply get it away from people who did not care one splinter about the integrity of the piece. How much longer will it be until its no longer usable??? It needs a little cosmetic work on the veneer, conditioning on the wood and a good cleaning/oiling in the mechanics and it'll work for another 125 years. Take care of your antiques and they will take care of you. My Depression-Baby grandparents taught me a lot; children of those Depression Babies often don't get it. Yup.... I care too much about the vintage and antiques. I should have bought a couple smaller pieces that I didn't need either, but would look fabulous in my mother's kitchen utensils/pans collection. Anyway, I'll go back to my corner now."
"I think I consider this to be the best thrift I’ve been to in Texas! So many neat finds at affordable prices & being donated to a great cause. Plus everything was half off when I went!"
"I will have to disagree with Jeana Avalos, this is a great place. I used to volunteer here and I have never seen anybody there act the way you described. They are always kind, courteous, and helpful to all the customers. I'll admit they need to work on the pricing and lower it a bit on some items. Otherwise this is a great little store to go to."
