"Not recommended. They douse the taco Tuesday in lard like every taco in Chicago which tastes good as long as u eat in location. But take out tacos are not equal. Stale tortillas is what they serve taco Tuesday to go . Sry tio check your staff or yourself I won't come back till u tweak it. Gracias"
"Review from a native Mexican. Tacos el Tio has plenty of parking spaces and tables, ten tables for four people and two tables for eight people. After I arrived, the waitress took my order promptly at 1 PM. Only four customers occupied the tables. Christmas trees and ornaments are still on after the holiday is over. The tacos took a while to arrive. They have good flavor, but the tortillas were not fresh, not handmade, and the onion and cilantro needed to be diced smaller. The waitress never came to ask if everything was ok, nor did she suggest dessert. Tacos El Tio is OK but nothing extraordinary, just mediocre."
"They have plenty of parking. As i pulled in; I called the number on the banners outside... that was a bust ! So I went inside to place an order... I ordered a few steak tacos not knowing I'd be waiting close to half an hour for them in their tight waiting area with everyone else that was either picking up or waiting for their orders. Eventually I got my food and left. Their tacos were seasoned just right. Their generous portions of meat were juicy and delicious. Their green sauce was thick and had the perfect kick. They also provided some limes to squeeze over the meat and sauce. Now that I know their name I will definitely order ahead of time and pick up without the wait. Dining in is also an option!!! Yeah, I shall return."
"Food is okay. Received some salty asada in the quesadilla but not the gordita. The waitresses (2) kept disappearing into the back of the restaurant so it made it difficult to get anything we needed promptly. There was only one other table so it’s not like they were busy. The air fresheners they have plugged in are overpowering and they have them so close to each other by table 6 that it gives a headache. Had to walk up to the counter to hunt down someone to pay and get a to go container. The lack of service is def discouraging. They definitely do the bare minimum: take your order and bring it out… then they’re MIA until you’re about to pay."
