"Located in the business district of Riverside, I am not a stranger to this location. Prior to the current cuisine, it was a fine Bohemian restaurant with many enjoyable visits with family and friends. The current kitchen is quite good with selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The entries are simple, presented nice on the plate, and quite tasty. There is something for everyone. The decor is what was available in the 50's, but it gave me feelings from my youth. One other point was that the place was warm, without the high velocity cold air blowing from the ceiling vents. All wait staff were friendly and pleasant. When I am in the area, this is my place to enjoy good tasting food no matter what time of day. There are a few similar family owned grills on the north side of Chicago which I frequent that are on the same par as Michael's Pancake House. Make Michael's Pancake House your favorite spot to eat instead of the corporate giants that give CEO's bonuses for pleasing the stock holders."
"Now this place surprised me. It's small inside but we went right before closing so no trouble with seating. Not sure if it gets packed but I had enough space. The drinks are cans and bottles no refills. The food was great with large cut sausages in my meat lover skillet and some good cheese. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy. The other foods looked and tasted delicious as well, a nice spot to swing by and enjoy a good meal."
