Reviews
"First and last time I'll ever go to this dollar general. If you pay with cash, you have to self checkout.. paying high price for stuff, you shouldn't have to be a trained cashier!!"
"It is so nice to have a store so close to get items quickly. The employees are so nice."
"Where do I even start… I am not the type to put reviews at all, so the fact I am even taking time out of my night to type this shows how upset my experience made me. Let’s start off with the fact that during my whole shopping experience the employee with the long brown hair kept yelling about redundant issues to EVERYONE. This man made it loud and proud that he did not want to be there. I get it, I’ve had bad shifts working as a food service employee but never have I had such an intense public outburst like this man did. There is absolutely no excuse for this behavior. Upon checking out, the man in front of me said the self check out register wasn’t working and the same man with long hair groaned so loudly and in a sense that made this poor man feel like a burden for just simply buying from this store. He didn’t even fix it, just looked at it and said curses very audibly and left it. I don’t think that man ever paid for his stuff. I refused to let him check me out and let the woman in front of me go who only seemed to have one item. This somehow was the end of the world for him as he once again kept audibly complaining. He then, while checking this woman out and while his coworker (who had curlier hair, glasses and a beard I believe and was absolutely amazing) was checking me out, he proceeds to publicly diss your new hire who supposedly didn’t show up. He was complaining that she forgot her Social Security Card and kept blurting out personal details about her in a derogatory manner. So, not only was he being disruptive, causing loss of business by not checking out the man who used self check out, he publicly trashed his new co worker, and kept telling his other co worker present with him that “I should just leave since I can’t do x y and z” and kept complaining about some “work” he had to do so bad that he couldn’t even check out customers. I’m truly appalled. Never shop here until they fire this man. There is once again no excuse for this behavior, if he can’t balance his emotions with his work then clearly he shouldn’t have a job at a place like this."
"Shop here if you want to know what it’s like to be watched like a criminal when buying Pokémon cards or hot wheels. The employees will fallow you around and over watch your every move while shopping. Extremely invasive and unwelcoming. And the skinny blonde manager is the worst of the bunch, being rude and abrasive must be his first nature. I can honestly say that I will not be returning in the future, and if they closed forever they would not be missed."
"So I went in and bought a couple things today. I really shouldn't have and never will again. The price on one item rang up slightly higher than marked, but not worth the hassle getting someone to fix it(self checkout only). Then I left the store after paying and an employee walked out and accused me of stealing. Her name was Vicky. Apparently if she isn't watching the checkout area then you must have stolen something. Not very pleasant being accused of something like that in the town I call home. Also(this is the village's fault), the location for this store is ridiculous. You have to enter the subdivision to get into the parking lot. How was this approved ever?! It's a "discount" store that always looks lowbrow(the prices aren't even good). The village should be ashamed. Close this place down. It's not even close to necessary."
