"Coming from California my expectations for finding decent Mexican food were low. Coming from a chain, even a regional one, my expectations were even lower. I was honestly surprised, this is legit Mexican food. My fiance picked up a sampling for all of us. My lingua taco was very good, as was the chile relleno burrito. The steak in her taco salad was highly seasoned yet delicious. Her chicken taco was good, too. Everything was fresh and well done. You can't get any toppings like avocado or sour cream on the side. It's either on the food or you don't get it. Odd policy. Good prices, but the prices shown are for cash transactions. If you use a card it's an extra three-something percent added to your bill. That's really tacky, and borderline deceptive. I understand wanting to recoup transaction fees, but that's just the price for doing business. They do call it a discount for paying cash, but the prices shown are for cash so that isn't a discount. I can't give five stars to any place that tries to nickel and dime you like that. So, 4.5 stars for the food, 4 for the value, one star for the toppings not being offered on the side, and one star for the credit card fee as presented. That's 3.5 stars total, rounded up."

"Disappointed in the tacos. The tomatoes are giant slices instead of chopped. You can't eat tomatoes on tacos like this. It's not a sandwich. Plus the meat is SO bland. There's zero flavoring/spices. Plus it's a little overpriced. $15 for 3 tacos and a Jarritos."

"Prompting for 18%-22% tip when required to order & pick up your own food at the front is madness. All the tables were dirty & needed to be wiped down. One trash can was overloaded & the other two in the front were very near to full. Food was subpar &’ the guacamole had brown areas throughout. Nothing like the Addison & Stone park locations which is disappointing since this is a newer location. Very poor franchise replication and management. Lots of potential as it was beautifully decorated. Please note it was not busy at during this time. I watched some employees simply stand around & even danced to the music playing at one point so the idea that time couldn’t be made to clean the tables is highly questionable."

"Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Visited their location plenty of times when they were across Higgins Rd. A go-to taco joint. Consistently consistent whether they moved across the street or at their many locations in the Chicagoland area. Posted here are their tacos - Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Barbacoa. Love their current location, bar set-up, as well as salsa and pickled veggies bar."
