Mak's House La Grange

"Mak's is a great hangout and has a disco vibe from the music to the wall paint. The food selection is american diner with some flair. The burgers are unique, and some people may find them to be their favorite place for one. For example, they have a burger with Mac n cheese atop, another with a grilled jalapeño, and another with a carribean jerk rub and pineapple. They are prepared well. I would have preferred the meat to be cooked true medium, but i did not state that when i ordered. This is more a preference - otherwise, the seasoning and total bite was definitely good. The price point I found a bit higher when compared to top tier burger places like Kumas corner, which include chips or fries and a larger juicier patty for a similar price. It's undeniable, though, that some will find the price worth the flavor of their burger selection here. So, if you are in the area and craving a burger, give this one a try. I do plan to return for another burger option and the nightlife."

"Great atmosphere! I had more expectations for the burgers but overall good"

"Came here for a second time because I really loved The Mak Burger. Was greeted nicely when walked in and was seated. I noticed the table was sticky when I sat down and asked if it could be wiped. It was taken care of. I ordered the burger again, along with baked Mac N Cheese skillet. The skillet was served on a cast iron on a wooden board. The blend of the cheeses, the textures of the charred cheese, and the crunchiness of the chopped chives melted in my mouth. I finished it before The Mak Burger arrived and it was phenomenal. The Mak Burger was delicious as the second time I had it. Tasted the bacon bits and the mac n’ cheese on top of the juicy cheeseburger patties. I had cheese with my fries, that was good. My only tiny feedback is that the cheese sauce didn’t come with the burger when it was delivered. But overall, I’d come back here again."
