"Chris provided excellent directions to his home and we found the driveway to be very level for our 26’ camper. We spent 2 quiet nights under the big, beautiful Big Bend sky. Chris took us on a personalized six hour tour, including a hike and short walk. As others have said, he is extremely knowledgeable about the history, geology, archeology, flora and fauna of the park and sights to see in the surrounding area. We are glad we treated ourselves to this introduction to the beauty of Big Bend. Highly recommended as a stop and tour."

"An unforgettable experience! It was such a joy to spend the day exploring with Chris. He turned our Big Bend adventure into the highlight of our trip to Texas. How fortunate we were to have crossed paths with such a knowledgeable and fun tour guide. He goes out of his way to accommodate and customize the tour to your interests. His love and passion for the park and surrounding area was evident throughout the entire tour. We learned so much about the history and geology of the area, along with all the plant and animal life. He took us places that we never could have seen with our own vehicle, as some roads are not paved and quite rough. But he was sure to show us the most beautiful spots in the park. We stayed on Chris’s property for the night in our RV. It was the most peaceful evening, from watching the beautiful sunset to gazing up at the amazing night sky. We all sat outside together having great conversation while watching the stars, not wanting the night to end. It was hard to leave the next morning. We had to say goodbye to our new friend. "Chris and his hiking tour was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and made it feel like a day out with an old friend. As a solo-traveler I wasn’t too confident hiking in the desert alone, there couldn’t have been a more perfect alternative. "My husband and I stayed at Chris’ place as Harvest Host guests in our RV. The space was very level. Chris was very responsive to emails during the booking process. We had a full day tour with Chris and he customized it to meet our requests and to showcase the best of the (corrected) west side of Big Bend National Park. He is extremely knowledgeable about the historical, geological, and botanical aspects of the area and shared that with us. Because we were staying overnight on his property, after a short nap we sat outside to watch the sunset and visited more with Chris.
