Reviews of Corned Beef Factory
"Upon a recommendation from a friend, we decided to give it a try tonight. I got the pastrami and my got the Reuben. Both were excellent. We got our food quickly and the lady behind the counter was very polite. The sandwich is large and delicious. The homemade chips were good. It’s a simple menu but it seems like they do everything well. We will be back to try other menu options."
"I drive for a living so we eat out constantly, I feel that this review is well deserved. I am definitely a corned beef aficionado. Upon entering the building I was a little disappointed that it was also a gambling den, but hey, welcome to Northeast Illinois. Mary, behind the counter was extremely friendly and made our sandwiches right in front of our eyes. And when I say this corned beef sandwich was good. I mean it was FKN excellent. If I was up that way more often I would definitely eat there more often and I mean easily three times a week. Can't wait to go back up there!. PS I recommend having your sandwich put on the panini grill, I think that would have made it perfect! Just my opinion, I think the potato chips sucked would have been nice to have a secondary choice of a side. Potato salad or coleslaw something like that?. Or maybe even some of those boiled little butter potatoes?, that would have been killer!"
"I do love the corned beef sammy.. With homemade potato chips which made this deli favorite a must have. Well that was the last time. Now I go in on this Thursday past and ordered my usual corned beef sandwich and guess what, they now serve some nasty thick and hard to chew chips. Not homemade. They can keep their OVER PRICED $13.95 (for just a sandwich) with a floppy mediocre dill pickle and about 10 hard and nasty chips. I will not be back. No chips for me. Bring back the homemade, thin cut, fresh off the tater chips and I will come back. Oh yes buy a beverage and add $3 to your total."
"I have wanted to try your sandwiches for a while now, so today was a great day for it during lunch. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. That came with pickle and house made chips. The chips are delicious. The pastrami sandwich on rye was great but a little too salty. The rye bread was delicious. The portions are exactly right (for me) and for others I would go above and beyond to say it is generous. All in all this is a solid sandwich shop that I will definitely try again. Maybe I'll go for the corned beef next time."
"Despite it being prime time for dinner, we were the only folks who ate at a table. While gambling appears to be the primary driver, Ms. Trish and I dug our grub. I went with the pastrami and she rocked a corned beef. We thought the rye bread was great from a texture, taste and density standpoint. Trish thought the corned beef had great flavor and moisture and thought the same of my pastrami. Sandwiches come with thin and crispy house made chips and a pickle spear. Overall, we were happy we tried this place and would totally stop by again, although we'd likely get it to go."
