"Do not buy or rent from this man. He is a down grading con artist. I have heard from many people of vehicles breaking down within weeks of purchase and him doing nothing to make it right. He will publicly put your name in the dirt if one of his cars breaks no matter the circumstance and blame you. He is very bad at body work and the markups from MSRP are ridiculous. If you want to buy a used car locally go to Top Notch Auto Sales in Lousiana, Missouri and see Eugene. My girlfriends name is on the list of people who destroyed his cars but you can’t destroy a car by just driving it for a week. DO NOT BUY FROM KENT BETTS AUTO SALES IF YOU WANT A RELIABLE USED VEHICLE."
"The man who calls himself Big Tony is a scam artist. He sold me a car and the motor went out the same day. He refused to give me my money back or at least another car. Do not buy anything from him. He is not a good busy man."
"All the cars are salvaged titled vehicles which means they are not worth the value of which he askes I talked to him and he was rude cause he wanted to sell me a suv with nearly 200k miles for 10k I reported him to better business and to state for over charging from what I heard today it’s not the first time states been talking to him about over pricing cars. To the point wouldn’t recommend buying a car he buys from a local sales guy for 2k then sells for 10k if u want the local guy hit me up at least you will be charged a fair price instead of 10k"
"Salesman was sitting at desk looking at us as we pulled up and when we left. He could not even walk 10 feet outside to say Hello what a way to make a sale........ NOT !!"
"I offered to pay off my girlfriends car that she was paying on from Betts, she asked if he could knock some down on the lump sum since we would be paying it in full and obviously that would eliminate the "interest" on the car other than what she has already accrued. Not only that but she previously attempted to purchase a Kia that very well could have fallen under the lemon law and made a down payment on that vehicle which got returned and he did not apply that down payment to the Ford Focus which she currently has. Which by the way was priced well above market value for the mileage on the vehicle and the fact it has a salvage title. While ultimately it was her responsibility to negotiate the terms of the purchase she was in a rush as she has 2 small children that needed to be taken to doctors and other parents and such. This is bad business, and the way Betts does business is either underhanded and he is taking advantage of poor folks, or he isnt intelligent enough to figure out a system that can be mutually beneficial to both parties involved. I recommend looking at One Main Financial in St. Peter's for all of your poor credit auto loan needs as I have worked with them twice with a credit score sub 600 and while the interest is high you can eliminate that interest by paying more than your minimum due AND THEY ACTUALLY REPORT TO CREDIT BUREAUS. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with! Tell them Zachary Sullivan sent you if that's how you want to go about it but I do not recommend buying from this car dealership. Edit: On top of selling two lemons and not applying the down payment from the Kia to the Focus he messaged her about my review calling me a "knucklehead" for leaving an honest review about his business tactics on google instead of simply coming up with a resolution to the problem at hand. Also to clarify the reason "interest" is in parenthesis is because like all buy here pay here car lots they add interest on to the base value of the car at KBB value in good condition which that focus most certainly was not in. All we ask is that he remove the $500 michelle put down on the Kia that lemoned out and come down a little on the interest that he tacked on top of the value of the car and we would pay it off in a lump sum and move on with our lives. I will update the review as soon as this situation has come to a conclusion."
