"Not sure why this place isn't rated higher. The staff was very friendly and the Birria tacos were delicious and even comes with a cup of the juice to put on them. Messy to eat but well worth it! Will be returning"

"I went in to buy chicharrón. It was actually decent. But I asked for churros and they told me to wait, that they had to make them. They brought them out to me and I went home. To my surprise they didn’t make the churros. They were hard and stale. That was not good service at all. I Don’t plan on returning to this place. There are better places in Elgin I will take my business to."

"I went to try this place out various times now have gotten the birria tacos, the taco de asada the torta and even the chicharron they sell. It looks good in picture but the taste its not there if the owner really want to overcome their business they should listen to “constructive criticism”. Birria tacos tastes bland only thing i tasted was the onion and oregano. Tacos tortilla was soggy with all the grease from the asada that was bland too. This restaurant has potential with its location and their service but the taste and prices are not worth the money. You need to try what the customer likes to be overcome as a restaurant."

"Pretty sure Don Taco has been trying boost their game a bit. I think they refreshed the exterior a bit and the inside was whistle clean. We had friendly table service that included salsa and a few chips. We ordered tacos and a torta, both excellent. They sell ice cream too but we didn’t get any. Nothing fancy at Dons but we’ll definitely be back."
