"Wonderful hidden gem brunch spot for the family, lovely service, but most importantly delicious options for all. Price was reasonable too. Love that So glad we were able to go while visiting home. We had breakfast tacos, French toast, avo toast, a couple of scrambles and the tri color enchiladas! Everything was AMAZING!!!!!!! Must try!"
"Horrible serv. Ordered caldos de camaron. Might as well should of ordered a bottle of water with shrimp. No flavor. Took 45 min just for 2 caldos ordered michelada ice was melting by the time it made it to my table. Will never go back to that place again. I swear if your menu is that big but can't keep up with it maybe make it smaller. Service is horrible waitress no comment just for respect"
"If you like non-spicy Mexican food, this is the place to go. Not one of their hot sauces is hot, and their salsa is made with oregano instead of cilantro. Everything had a powerful oregano taste, which was awful! I had to post a review, because their food would be good, if they threw away the oregano In everything and made some mas picante salsas—NO oregano. Easy fix. I hope they read this. Go to Los Burritos Mexicanos in Lisle and see their hot sauces and copy those. Otherwise it’s a big no to this place! Also, their jalapeños are not even spicy. They are the round ones from a can that you put on nachos. Not the good ones with carrots and onions."
"I'd never eaten here before, but when I had walked all the way across Phillip's Park to find Gario's closed, I figured this was the perfect time to try a new place! It's a pretty standard Mexican place. The chips and salsa before the main meal really caught me off guard; the chips had a unique flavor to them (maybe they were fried in peanut oil?) and the brown salsa we got was actually really good. Normally most Mexican restaurants have such spicy salsa I can't eat it, but this was actually a level of spice my palate could handle!! I was so happy! I got the steak enchiladas with the red sauce. The beans and rice were great, and unlike some places the rice didn't have peas in it (which I'm all for since I hate peas, lol.) The lettuce, tomato, and avocado came on its own separate plate, so I forgot about them until I was already full, but it looked nice and fresh. My friend that I came with also had a few unusual requests (no ice in her water, and red AND green sauce on the side with her enchiladas) and the staff accommodated with no trouble. I was happy to see my friend get what she asked for. The restaurant was clean and bright, there were telenovelas on the TV, and the menu was available in both a physical menu and a screen displayed over the counter. We also got 2 dollars off with a special deal they had on the window! Overall, a great little find! I'm glad we went, and I'd love to go back with my family. If you're walking from EAHS, the park/zoo, or the Aquatic Center, this is a great place to go."
