"Always amazing food and amazing service at sovereign. Menu is always changing but the food is always unique and can't remember having a bad meal. They do have a military/veteran discount which was awesome. Atmosphere is pretty cool as location used to be a trolly/train repair station of some sort. I would get reservations on a weekend and the drinks are a little pricey and seem to be on the smaller side but overall a great experience. Do wish the tables had a little more privacy as other couples can be quite close to you."

"I absolutely love the atmosphere. It is super cozy and well decorated. I appreciate the local brew selection and they have a great wine list as well. Although I have been here a few times and the food is always fantastic, today I picked the gnocchi. It had mushrooms, fried sage and roasted cherry tomatoes along with fresh ricotta. I like to try new chef created dishes and this was really delicious. It was portioned really well and presented beautifully. To drink I had a Lulz hard apple seltzer on tap, which I will get again if they continue to serve it, super tasty and crisp."

"who's seen the underground euro night club scenes in Blade or XXX?? this is 100% the Saturday night vibe without vampires or bone crushing villains hiding in the shadows and we LOVED IT!! so different! so unique!! a huge fireplace to left when you walk in, a stunning Xmas tree to the right! seats by the bar or private seats where you and yours can escape the world for a bit and enjoy the best mashed potatoes on the planet and some wine and mixed drinks!! the staff was so welcoming, bartenders all knew their stuff and we will back with friends for another experience soon!"

"The atmosphere and the very low lighting by candle light was extremely nice. The atmosphere was a 10 out of 10. They were out of the 2 drinks my husband and I wanted to order, so I ordered the boulevard of strawberry dreams and it had an odd flavor, but the drinks looked pretty. The Risotto had shrimp and the shrimp was cooked right, but the Risotto lacked flavoring. The best part of my meal were the fries cooked in beef fat. A huge bowl of them for $6!"

"Ate lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Got a table right away. Great atmosphere, not too loud (even though football games were on the screens). I felt relaxed. We had the Roasted Beets appetizer. It was delicious. We had two orders of the tacos (4 tacos total) and shared. Delicious, with a little kick, but not too spicy. I ate some fries from my husband’s plate, they were cut in cubes and were seasoned perfectly! For dessert we all shared donuts we dipped in chocolate, so delicious. I loved how they used mismatched mugs for coffee as well as mismatched plates for appetizers and dessert. It added to the personality of this restaurant. The building this restaurant is in, is Plainfield’s old trolley barn. They did an excellent job converting to a restaurant and banquet faculty (next door) while keeping some of the historic charm!"
