"Well lit ,clean and organized with plenty of inventory. The information kiosk was busy, but she was still able to find the puzzles we had seen on line. Check out was quick, seamless and the check out attendant was pleasant, professional. An overall great bookstore visit."

"While I like B&N as a rule, especially given the sad demise of bookstores, this review is solely based on customer service. Put simply, we left a mobile phone sitting on a pile of books and not realizing it, drove off. Got to Madison before we discovered the loss, called the store and they found it. We spoke to Melissa, a store manager, who told us she could not mail any electronics so we would have to come back for it. There could be good reasons for this policy, such as risk of loss to a $1k device, but my spouse is an attorney and she did offer to accept all risk, in writing, if Melissa would just box up the phone and mail it. No go. Obviously, mobile phones are mailed every day, as they are light, portable and can be protected easily with a little bubble wrap. Complying with corporate policy might be the safe, conservative answer for B&N, but we did not appreciate the potentially avoidable 100-mile round trip. Our mistake, leaving the phone, but a little help would have been lovely."
