"The service seems fine. We made a 9am appointment for Pep Boys in Chicago Ridge on Southwest highway and Ridgeland, on my phone for an oil change. They didn't honor it, he said they never honor Car Advise. I think they should look into it then. We waited while he was on the phone, about 5 mins and it seemed job related, but not customer related. We told him (man behind counter) that my husband had to be at work by 12:30 to wit he replied, "they are working on someone else's car they are almost finished and you will be next." By 9:30, I inquired as to why our car hadn't been taken in yet and he was kind of short and said he didn't know he will look into it when he had time. More phone conversations, another guy came in and they hung out and he still never checked on our vehicle. Two other people came and went with full service, I mean not drop offs, I mean checked in, waited, checked out. At 10:45, I asked, now it's been an 1 hour and 45 min wait, can you check on it now? He did and they took our car in by 11am, but we didn't leave until 12:40 pm. So recap: Our appointment wasn't honored. We waited 3 and half hours for a simple oil change, he lied when he said we would be next, he lied when he gave us the impression that my husband wouldn't be late for work, he lied when he said he checked on it and he gave us several false updates after that, like your car is almost done, and then another hour passes."

"David was very helpful. He was able assist with my issue and educate me on the air intake flow system! Melo was helpful as well. He provided an efficient and quick service!"

"The cashier is very polite and knowledgeable, the mechanics however have no common sense or decency whatsoever. Had them give me an estimate to get my wipers working which was 250 for new arms. We had to call them the next day because they didn't call us at all and tried telling us it would be 500 because it was actually the motor and they just ASSUMED it was the wiper arms. Never gave them permission to go ahead and buy the motor because I'm not paying that much when I can get it for a hell of a lot cheaper. After arguing with the mechanic on the phone, he straight up hung up on us. No professionalism at all. When it comes down to it, if he called me and said hey we messed up, it actually is the motor, do you want us to replace it? I would have said no I'll just pick up my car which could've saved us all the trouble. Never going to Pep boys again."

"I like this pepboys shop, they are all very skilled and very professional. The Store manager is very knowledgeable, the staff is very patient and proficient. I’d definitely recommend this shop to everyone, stop by and see for yourself what a great bunch of guys they are…"

"Avoid this place unless you want damages to your vehicles. Came in the store for bottom left side car’s tire changed . When i picked up the car,both of my left side tires rim were messed up .they used the wrong size tool and tear up the bolts. Contacted store manager for detail on the following Monday . Store manager goes against his own word that he would look it and call me back that day . Tuesday came, I contacted store manager again he responded with say he doesn’t have time to look at it and contact me some other days.when I asked which day he would call back , he can’t give me answer. I offered to go there and watch the video with him since it would take less than 5 minutes with a fast forward button. Exact word for word from the store manager was “Buddy I am not paying for your tire since you did not give me enough time “ keep in mind I never once asked for money back I just want them to fix my rims that they mess up . And why is a store manager referring to client as buddy ?we don’t hang out or even seen each other s face yet . Real professional as it’s best . Stay away 8/3/2023 After contacting BBB, they responded with they actual review the footage that no one touched my front tire . Still no one sent me a video of the actual footage or let me see. I literally pumped air into the tire before going there and found out there was a flat WITHOUT any markings on my tires. Look at the pictures at how fresh those marking are and they are trying to say they didn't do it. STAY AWAY from a place that not only lies but have very BAD customer serivce"
