"Facility is nice. Fairly clean. Staff was friendly. Food was high $.... And the drinks were even worse. $3.5 just for a small drink. That's insane. These corporations are robbing us and we're letting them. And the chicken tenders i got with my meal... Looked like breaded anchovies. They were tiny and hell for the price i paid. I will NOT be back."

"This place used to be really good, but in the course of a year it went downhill fast. And I’ve given them more chances to see if maybe it was an off day etc . One order the shrimp skewer was like jerky and inedible and the broccoli was ice cold. Another time the fries were cold and tasted old and the batter in the hush puppies was not cooked and was partly raw( this happened a few times) And the fish just wasn’t good like it was before. And this final time the fries didn’t taste fresh. The hush puppies were , again were partly raw. And I hoped because the fried fish ( I ordered the regular white fish)was hot that it would save the dish. I bit into it and It was overwhelmingly fishy, not in the right, good way I spit out into the napkin they did provide( kudos for that) one side of the bitten piece was white/ and then the other was kind of brown like it was the mud spot of the fish or something. The smell was similar to cat fish bait. I offered the rest to my cats and they weren’t interested for long. I’m so disappointed that it’s come to this for Captain Ds. I used to love it. The person at the window was nice but the food wasn’t good at all."

"My mom and I tried Captain D's at your Cape Girardeau Mo location for the first time today (12/26/23) and our experience was horrible. We split the 4 pc chicken tenders meal and the chicken tasted awful. Chicken was hot but it did not taste good. The only thing that tasted good was the fries. We also had very poor and slow service. We sat at the drive thru for about 10 mins. My mom also ordered coleslaw for the other side and when she got her ticket it said okra and they charge 99 cents extra for okra. I was the one that caught it on the ticket and when I told my mom about it she brought it to their attention and they were kinda of rude about it and said we corrected it but they didn't want to give her her dollar back and she said shouldn't I get some money back? They didn't say anything when they handed her the dollar but they slammed the drive thru window like a jerk. All the workers that work there had a bad attitude. We don't ever plan on eating here again! Like I said it was our first experience at Captain D's and we were very disappointed in it."

"Tried Captain D'S for the first time in a long time a little disappointed. The fries weren't hot and on top of that I bit into my hush puppy and there was hair on it. I was done at that point we just left my husband wanted to say something but I said let's just go. The service was good the young lady that took our order was nice but the food left us a little disappointed."

"Oh man! As you see it was hard to take this picture bc the other hand is SMASHING THIS FOOD! Super friendly manager took our order, got the sampler and some crab cakes (bc another recent place did me derrty on some crab cakes, how can you DO A CRAB CAKE WRONG! ITS TOO PRECIOUS!) Lol end that rant. Gotta try this place if u haven't, everything is crispy and golden delicious, broccoli is fresh, okra is ON POINT! I will bb SOON!"
