Reviews of French Quarter
"The owner of this restaurant ought to be ashamed. The prices of the drinks are $21+!!! The food is lukewarm, the sweet potato pie was store bought and served cold!!!! The pasta was $34! The chicken and shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. The outside decor of this restaurant will tell you everything about the food. DO NOT GO HERE! Any positive reviews must be from family members of the owner. Do not waste your money."
"I visited The French Quarters in Richardson for the first time and had a wonder experience. The ambiance, customer service and food was definitely top tier. The food was very flavorful and cooked with lots of love. I ordered the catfish, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and greens. The food was served fast, fresh and hot. Definitely home cooked with a Cajun spin. The owner was very nice. He came out to introduce himself. Which is not normal for restaurant owners. He treat you like family, very welcoming. They really deliver a New Orleans style southern hospitality. I will definitely be returning. This is a place you must visit."
"Where do I start. I went to dinner with some friends and I ordered the egg rolls which came out cold, I told the waitress and she understood and took them back to be warmed… like any other restaurant they’ll bring out a whole new plate but instead they popped them in the microwave and bought it back to me so I told them i did not want them anymore. Next I ordered the Lamb chops and garlic mashed potatoes $42 plus $14 for a side now the food was great but the Lamb chops look like they have been starving for months before being butchered they where the size of a new born baby’s hand and I’m not exaggerating at all then the server forgot our sides and was hard to find but over all the drinks were great and the vibe of the establishment was great."
"This restaurant accommodate one of my really close friends large birthday parties. The plating was nicely done, good music, friendly staff. I had a French 75 and my cocktail was made to perfection. The owner is a black man who is really personable! My favorite dish was the soul food egg rolls with the dipping sauce. I would definitely be back looking forward to trying some other dishes."
"My Wife and I wanted to hit this spot and see whats happening. The 1st thing I noticed when I opened the door was the LOUD MUSIC! Had me looking for a Dance Floor instead of nice spot to grab a bite to eat. The loud music took away from atmosphere which was cool in my opinion. We waited at the front for someone to decide who will seat us as there seemed to be some confusion within the staff. Regardless, we finally got seated and they provided the menu and some water. We decided on our meals and ordered a $21 Drink which in my opinion is outrageous especially if the quality (strength) of the drink didn't match the price therefore i would not order another! Now to the food....because I love that Louisiana Style Cooking. 1. Canal Street Egg Rolls: stuffed with Greens, Mac&Cheese, Greens, and Yams. Also included mashed Yams to dip your egg rolls into. (WE WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED IT WAS GOOD!) Appetizer Note: you may have to request small plates to eat your appetizers, because none was provided until asked. 2. French Quarter Pasta (3 Shrimp, 5 pieces of sausage and 6 slices of Chicken, Plenty of Pasta and Sauce): The sauce on the pasta was and seasoning on all the meat was good and freshly made $42 3.Blacken Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo (3 Shrimp, and 6 slices of Chicken): same as above with the addition of a side of shredded cheese for the wife. $29 Note: Bread for your Pasta Dishes is counted as a side dish $18 and isn't part of your pasta meal! 4. Peach Cobbler: I can't speak to the taste as it was my Wife's dessert. However if your expecting to see full peaches in your Cobbler then erase that thought from your mind and prepare for fruit cup style small chunks of Cobbler. As a note we did not order any side dishes with our meal for we wanted to wait before ordering additional items. At the end of the night we chose not to add anything else."
