Paisans Pizzeria 6545 South Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60629

"Not what I expected. Heard rave reviews by friends but I wasn’t very impressed with the pizza…especially the lack of toppings on my pie. The tomato sauce was on point but that’s about it. The atmosphere is great - family friendly with excellent service. The decor is nice. Our server attempted to memorized our order without the use of a notepad. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not. The kitchen did send the wrong salad. All in all, the doughy pizza was ok but not on my top 10 list. Paisans does have a “cracker crust” extra thin pizza that I will come back for. Just not sure when."

"I wish I could rate the service with negative 5 stars! I would like to say we've been long-time customers. We generally visit the location in Berwyn. However, on this occasion, we stopped at the Pulaski location. We were extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism, the level of cleanliness, and the level of attention none of the above were present! When we arrived, the parking lot was somewhat full of vehicles. I thought it must be full of customers. I was mistaken. There was only one family and two people sitting at the bar, so the restaurant was virtually empty. We walked in, and there was no one to greet us. When someone finally walked up, they dropped the menues on the floor, picked them up as if nothing, and showed us to a table. The first table was dirty, and the second was also dirty, but she swiped the crumbs off with her hand and sat us there anyway. My son and I decided to order a pizza and a couple of sodas. So we waited and waited and waited for a server to come and take our oder. That didn't happen because they were all in the kitchen area talking joking and walking around. Take in mind that the restaurant was virtually empty. As we sat there, I looked online for the phone number to the paisans office, called them, and informed them of the lack of attention. We sat there a few minutes longer and finally got up and walked out. Again, without a single word from the staff there. There is absolutely no excuse to treat customers in this way. This location is in desperate need of new management and employees! I'm truly disappointed with Paisans pizza on Pulaski in Chicago. We will never visit there again !!!"

"Very nice decor. They obviously put money in the buildout of this space. However the pizza was mediocre at best. For a Chicago pizza restaurant, there pizza tasted like something you'd buy at a convenience store. The chicken salad was good. The server never cleared our plates and never offered refills. Not a great experience."
