"The name pretty much says it all. It is a sports bar and grill. With a jumbotron size TV. Great to watch any sports game on. Very laid-back comfortable atmosphere. I definitely recommend you go and give it a try. The food was good, cooked perfectly and the service was as well."

"Heard good things about this place. Tried it out, had grilled shrimp tacos and wife had a burger. Holy cow was this place the real deal. Service is friendly and prompt, food is on point. Coming back for brunch. So came back for brunch, again, again, and AGAIN. Good golly do these beautiful people know how to make you smile. Birria menu is off the charts!!!!! People this place is going to make you smile, get here and try it."

"Great place with very good food and friendly staff. Shrimp tacos were delicious! Shrimp sandwich (po boy) was also so good. We had tortilla chips with salsa and queso and it all tasted amazing. Probably the best tortilla chips I’ve had in a while. Drinks were very good as well. Definitely recommend this place."

"I decided to try JJ's Sports Bar and Grill and was completely amazed!!! I tried their fried sushi, which is a roll lightly battered in Tempura. then fried for a crunchy and tasty twist, then topped with a tasty sauce. So good! It's totally not what I expected from sleepy Mt. Vernon, IL. Their menu has a rather large variety of burgers and brunch options as well as Mexican style meals. Great beer selection as well. Enjoy and drive safely!!!"

"This was our first visit to JJ’s. I’m always a little nervous when trying a new restaurant as you never know what you’re getting into. We were greeted and seated within a minute of arrival by Heather who was also our server. She took great care of us. We ordered the New York Strip with shrimp and roasted potatoes and eggs with seasoned potatoes and fresh fruit. The steak was cooked just right and everything tasted so good."
