Not only was he professional, courteous, informative, thorough and exacting, he took the time to explain the repairs he made and gave me tips on prolonging the life of my Pro 600 6 qt. He actually repaired it WHILE I WAITED and it only took a little over one hour. I mean, who does that nowadays? Talk about fantastic service! "Brought two Kitchenaid stand mixers in around noon on a Thursday. Even though I'd read the reviews I was still pleasantly shocked when told they'd be ready in two hours. Put both mixers through their paces over the weekend and couldn't be happier! Noticed the signs selling refurbished machines and will tell our kids. Also planning to bring in our Cuisinart food processor for a tune up."
"Took my KitchenAid in about 11 this morning. Went to lunch and about an hour and 45 min later my mixer looked like new! Dan is great and really knows what he's doing. It needed regreased and tuned and now it looks and sounds perfect. I would 100% recommend!"
"I was gifted a vintage Hobart-made KitchenAid K5-A stand mixer that was running but in desperate need of some love after years of non-use. After calling around for a tune-up in Chicago (no one would touch it), I found Dan at ABESCO - and, boy, I am so glad that I did! He was friendly, courteous, and professional; he even recommended a place to grab lunch while I waited an hour, hour and a half for the service. When I got the mixer back, it looked and ran like new: no more oily crud oozing from the mixing head, no more rusty bits and scuff marks on the body, no more smell of burning from years of dust and non-use, and no more slipping of the speed setting. I simply could not be more delighted with Dan's service and kindness (he even let me take the mixer home without paying when I realized I forgot my credit card - who does that anymore?).
