"Food is inconsistent - I’ve ordered the brisket sandwich and one time there was actual brisket and the other time small pieces of chopped steak which isn’t brisket and what I paid for"
"My boyfriend and I discovered Effin Egg maybe about a month or so after they opened their downtown Naperville location. The first time we had the food, we were hooked! We ate there a total of 3 times that week because we couldn’t get enough of the food! It became our weekly breakfast spot! Every time we went, we were greeted by Rochelle who had such an amazing personality and positive attitude! We started to feel close to the crew there and appreciated how they (especially Rochelle) went above and beyond for us to create such a fantastic experience! Yesterday we stopped by for our weekly order and something seemed off. We noticed that we didn’t see Rochelle. We became extremely disappointed to find out she no longer works there, and it shows. The menu was limited due to ingredients being out of stock (which I had never seen before) and the environment didn’t seem the same. The food was still delicious but the experience was completely different. We still will order from here but I’m not sure if it will still be our weekly dine in breakfast spot since losing such an asset to the Effin egg experience."
"4 small tables available. its a sandwich shop not a resturaunt. the brisket is pot roast with no seasoning. queso sauce is bland. tots barely cooked. a spot of sour cream. the whole meal sucked. go somewhere else. this is not good food."
"The food was amazing!! Tried a breakfast sandwich, burrito, and hash brown. We spend around $29 on our meal. We got options that were meat free. The sandwich was ok but the burrito was a 10/10 the vegan chorizo didn’t taste bad at all like how some of them do. The hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The portions were very generous! The women in the front (assuming she’s the owner) was very friendly and accommodating to us. We did request them to change gloves and clean the area they cooked our food due to our dietary/ religion restrictions. The store is small and there is very little seating area. Most definitely worth it would go again and recommend to my friends and family !"
