"The Pennydrop bar is a very stunning environment to have a drink or dinner. We stopped by because it was on our list of places we hadn’t tried. We went in the middle of the week, so it was a little dead. It’s self seating in the bar area, and our server came to take our order right away to make sure we got the most out of happy hour. We decided to get appetizers instead of entrees so I cant speak to the main dishes. The hummus tasted amazing and the serving size was enormous. Personally I think the fried pita was soggy with oil and really made it hard to eat the hummus, and left me feeling kind of rough. The wings had a very unique flavored sauce, the peach in my opinion didn’t come through, but it was tasty. The meat was a little tough and I think the glaze didn’t quite make up for how dry the meat was. We got 4 wings and 4 drums, so not the worst price for wings if you get the $2 off at the happy hour. Personally I would skip out on them if could go back. I will definitely be back to try the entrees and will update my review depending on how that goes."

"Great dining experience! The breakfast menu is good; I had the poached eggs with duck. And dinner was also great: hush puppies, steak burger, and truffle fries. The food was good, the service very friendly, and the ambience enjoyable."

"Bar closed a little early than listed online. We ordered room service early in the morning. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos and two orders of pancakes. There were 4 of us. when the order arrived, only half of the items were there. The person delivering said they were out of pancakes, so he asked if we wanted two more burritos, we said sure. A little while later he came back and said they were out of burritos. So we just said forget it then."

"Came here on a Tuesday evening for some drinks. My waitress Sin was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sean was also very quick & helpful in getting anything I needed. I ordered the million dollar cocktail and unfortunately couldn’t get it because some of the items were missing (so sad!). I ended up getting the breadwinner and it was SO good! Perfect balance of flavors. Since I was here on my birthday the staff created a drink for me to make up for the other one not being available. It was similar to a penicillin and was also good. I ended up ordering the pretzel bites which were tasty. I was sent off to my room with a scotch to enjoy the rest of my evening. I would definitely come back for more cocktails and the great service! They made my birthday."

"i had baked tortellini (an appetizer) as my entree and it was good and the marinara that came with it was very good. My husband had the double burger which he said was ok, but nothing spectacular. My daughter's salad was a generous proportion and she had asked for chicken to be added but no substitutions for duck breast or shrimp were allowed. The wait was extraordinarily long, nearly 45 minutes and the place was not crowded at all. One of our servers said they were having difficulty finding experienced staff, however, the long wait time seemed due to the kitchen. Overall an okay spot with lots of charm and interesting architecture, but be prepared for the atmosphere to be the chief draw unless things change."
