J Marie’s Gumbo House

"I tried this place for the first time January of this year. I have to say the cook really does her big one!! I ordered the blackened Catfish fillet over rice, mac and cheese and greens! Gumbo and the red beans and rice. Everything was PEREFCT!! IVE REFFERED FIVE PEOPLE AND THEY ALL HAVE TRIED THE FOOD AND LOVED IT!!"

"It took a minute to locate the restaurant, but once we got there we had no trouble ordering. The service was good, the food was also good. However, I would ask the management to please consider "levels" of spiciness for the food. It was good but it was warm, to say the least. We will check with them and request milder versions of our choices next time. Otherwise I recommend this place to anyone that likes Cajun food."

"I door dashed this place a couple a months ago. When I picked up the customer order the smells that came from the establishment and the plate made me instantly hungry. I knew I had to try it for myself! Chile, when I say everything was good... I mean just that! The Turkey legs was tender and seasoned to perfection, greens were on point with a lil kick, and don't get me started on the Gumbo!!! They have earned themselves another permanent returning customer for sure!!! Y'all better go get you a plate!!"

"The food is really good! Seasoned really well! Greens got a lil kick just as they should mac&cheese seasoned well! Turkey leg seasoned well only reason it’s not a 5 for them the turkey leg a little dry!"

"Absolutely DELICIOUS! The gumbo is the best of the best…. The greens are the best I’ve ever tasted… And the catfish & shrimp was top of the line. Keep up the good work and delicious food."
