Reviews of Naperville - Lou Malnati's Pizzeria
"Everything it was hyped up to be. I got the calamari and the Malnati Chicago Classic. The fresh sauce and butter crust were excellent. The quality of the sausage stood out to me, which says a lot since I’m essentially a human garbage disposal. There was something that didn’t connect all the dots for me, I chalk that up to traveling all day and being really tired. Probably… haha."
"Had an amazing time! The place to have the Chicago famous Deep dish Pizza! We went in the afternoon so it was laid back and relaxed. The food took time to come out but man, it was worth every bit of it. Our hostess was super sweet and very attentive. Highly recommend it! Can’t wait to visit again."
"I seldom give 5 star reviews but this place has earned its spot. Been to LM in multiple downtown locations, but they don't come close to this one in terms of service, food quality and atmosphere. If you want to skip this long review, just read this tip! (Tip: Call them up 1-2 hours before you go and pre-order your pizzas, that way you'll receive them at your table on time. You can order appetizers when you arrive.) The manager is polite and you're likely to encounter his hospitality even if the restaurant is bustling with people (it was when we went). Crowd management is perfect and you can see 100 or even 200 people can be seated inside very well. We ordered the buffalo chicken wings, bruschetta, veggie and pepperoni deep dish pizzas and tiramisu for dessert. Every single item was worth it, great taste and substantial portion size. It's not often that you get both at the same place. The deep dish pizzas were mind blowing (see pictures). And that tiramisu might have been the best one I've ever had. Last but not the least, kudos to our server (unfortunately, I forgot his name) for prompt and warm service. Will recommend and come back again for sure!"
"We've been ordering from this location for 6 plus years now. I've had Lou's from various locations since the 2000's. One thing over the 6 years at this location has been the inconsistency of the Pizza. Sometimes it is fantastic and at other times it is just sub par and a mess. There is rarely an in between. Being a dine in location and a carry out location might be part of the issue. Carry out is and has been a constant mess especially at peak times. Its typically late, the parking situation is awful, and curbside pickup makes no sense with 3 spots available and a row of cars trying to get in. The most recent pickup was just a mess of cars double parked, the curbside runner going to one car at a time, and 15 people waiting for orders inside that were 15 minutes behind. What was supposed to be a curbside pickup ended up being a 15 minute wait inside with a 2 year old and a stack of frustrated customers being told a few more minutes. Our sausage patty pizza looked like they skimped on getting sausage on it so they provided soup at no extra cost."
"It lives up to its reputation. I don’t know how they do it but for deep dish I certainly did not feel like all I had was bread. They really deep the dish with fresh tomatoes, sausage and what seems to be their own special style mozzarella. Would I ship it to me to eat? Yes. Yes I would! Our server Cheyenne was so jovial! She was also really helpful in making sure we understood the menu. All that makes a meal just a little bit better!"
