Reviews of RPlace
"I stopped in to order takeout. One of the reasons I stopped here was because of all the antique toys and memories! And, the food was great as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the order came out quickly. It was fun just browsing around as I waited. I would definitely recommend this as a food stop. And, a fun place to look around. Edit: I had only tasted the food when I wrote original post. However, when I finally got to sit and eat, the pulled pork on the Carolina Mac & Cheese was completely inedible, solid and hard as a rock. But the part I ate had a great taste. I also realized I should have had a discount because I'm a senior, but I forgot to ask about it when I paid."
"I used to love this place. We literally ate here 5 out of 7 nights a week, while I was in town for a month plus. I have eaten here twice in the last week.... Seriously disappointed both times. They've changed everything I liked about it. Prices are super high, portions are small. And quality.... Not so much this time. Sorry guys. I would say... try harder. Still, it's not bad for a truck stop, but not anywhere close to as good as I remember. This picture is of their Wednesday special. The only special about it was the price....$16.... For what I could get at McDonald's for $6. Shameful."
"Just ate here again. Added pics. Still fantastic. I got here really tired after driving 700 miles. I got the rueben to go and they good gals there that played with Milo gave him a burger patty. We ate contently full and about rest peacefully. Thanks."
"Wow.. $17.72 for a salad and sweet tea for lunch. No soup, did have pudding and tapioca. Standing around waiting to be seated. The girl seen me but I guess was to busy to seat me, so a waitress from the back came out and seated me. She was nice. Then she went home and another girl Lindsay took over and she was also very nice. The salad bar was very good and the sweet tea was made perfect. The place is very clean. Hard to believe with all the toys and memorabilia all over the place but it wasn't dusty. The place is very cool to see all the antique toys and memorabilia and the food is good just a little pricey for just a salad bar at lunch time. The good parts."
"Finally, this place was open. Been here for the third time it always close since pandemic. Food was good, that potato soup was delicious not overcook. My fried chicken was fresh and tasty, so crunchy and that French fries was my favorite way better from other truck stop. My husband ordered a Reuben he also like it. Carrot cake has a thick frosting that is so sweet for me. Still highly recommended. Our server Jessica was fantastic."
