"I got a table lamp that comes with an LED light bulb and I got a advanced 7 outlet power strip with adjustable threshold and surge protector for a $1.25 each. Blows my mind and the cashier's mind. Had a lot of other cool stuff there. Wish I had more money to shop that day."

"I love family dollar, but this one had lots of aisles blocked with stocking carts and things that were marked or signed clearance were ringing up full price. Once I let the cashier know she changed the price, but she'd already rung up several items before I caught it."

"I called Family Dollar this morning with a few questions regarding a specific product. I spoke with Teresa, and was extremely impressed with the level of customer service she provided. She was very friendly, polite, and clearly knowledgeable about the products and product lines in her store. She was able to answer all of my questions almost instantly. She then took the time to go in back and check on their last shipment to see if what I needed had arrived. When purchasing most items, customer service is often as important as price is to me. Although I've never visited a Family Dollar store before, I will be going in today for the first time to pick up some items which I would normally purchase from one of their competitors. My interaction with Teresa is the reason I will begin using Family Dollar as of today. Five star service from a five star employee!"

"Rude employees. Clerk seemed annoyed to have to check me out and take my money. Also didn't honor the sale price of one of my items..told them "just take it off. I don't need them today." Was ignored. Told her again and was ignored again. I said it a third time because at that point I was ready to forget the whole transaction and be on my way. I didn't realize it but apparently she had gestured to get a manager to take the item off my ticket. She could have told me instead of ignoring me and making me look like an idiot repeating myself. Before all of this I had said something nice to two different employees as I first walked in and got nothing in return but a blank stare."
